Apparently Ghost Stories has already been certified Gold in Switzerland. That has to be an error, surely! Both "Magic" and "Midnight" have been released as singles though.

I could never get into Oasis. I don't know why, but their sound just repels me. Noel Gallagher's voice doesn't help either. :/

I've binge-listened to this album over the past few days. I don't know how many times I've listened to it, actually! :lol:

The only criticism I have for the album, after listening to it about 5 billion times already, is how much "A Sky Full of Stars" sticks out. Even after the Pink Floyd-esque church bells and noise after "Oceans", I'm still not sure why there's a big-boom EDM track after literally 30 minutes of slow, melodic sounds. It's place in the loose narrative also sticks out. After "Oceans", where the singer talks about missing the one she loves and fantasizing about meeting her again one day, where does the singer suddenly get this burst of happiness from? How does he suddenly, out of nowhere, come to some point where he realizes he doesn't need her anymore? "A Sky Full of Stars" is a great track on it's own, don't get me wrong, but it just sticks out like a sore thumb in the context of the album, both in it's sound and it's place in the narrative of the album. Other than that, GHOST STORIES IS THE BEST ALBUM EVA OMG!!1!!!11!!1!!1111

I honestly think "Ink" and "Another's Arms" would be the most sensible choices. "Ink" is honestly the perfect song to promote the album with, given it's upbeat, catchy and easily accessible sound, and "Another's Arms" simply has a radio-friendly feel to it. "True Love" can be promoted as well considering the amount of people that love the song already, although it would be a stretch because it's not the type of track you would play on the radio. For the same reason Embrace's "Refugees" didn't attract airplay, "True Love" would simply be too dynamic for airplay. "Always in My Head", "Oceans" and "O" are just too album-tied to be promoted as individual songs, in my opinion.

I honestly don't see "Atlas" fitting on Ghost Stories in any form. It would fit more with Mylo Xyloto in my honest opinion.

This is where most of the confusion is. The track "O" is actually two songs. The first one is called "Fly On" and the second "hidden" track is called "O". The tracks, however, aren't technically hidden. The track simply contains two songs.

Does the Deluxe Edition actually cut the 2 minutes of silence out of "O" as well?

It may look fake, but all Warner Benelux promo CDs look like, well, crap.

I feel like Coldplay are married to Channel 7. Everything they do in Australia has Channel 7 slapped all over it!
