http://www.coldplaying.com/index.php?name=News&file=article&sid=4835 I know that CM is vegetarian, that's OK. But why in this world are these guys using his image to promote the vegetarianism??? And why in this world CM gave permission to those guys to use his image for that???? I really don't get it. If you don't want to eat meat, that's OK, but please, keep it for yourself!!! It's your decision, you don't have to promote it. I don't care what you eat and why you eat it. And by they way, for the record, every time CM eats vegetables, is KILLING those vegetables. The vegetables were LIVING!!! Vegetarians, keep your ideas for yourselves!! Eat wh…

Many months before Viva la Vida came out, it was rumored that "Prospekt" will be the album's name, because everytime Chris left a message on coldplay.com, he signed it with Prospekt... THEN after the album came out obviously with a different name, another message was left still with "Prospekt" at the bottom. So does anyone know what Coldplay is reffering to with saying Prospekt?? THANKS!

From: http://dresslikechrismartin.wordpress.com/chris-martins-top-10-funny-quotes/ Anyone who has ever seen Chris Martin in an interview knows that he’s insanely funny. I couldn’t find any good, funny Chris Martin quotes anywhere on the web, so I scoured all his interviews, and put my favorites up for everyone to enjoy! “I drool all over the place…If you’re in Row A at a Coldplay show, you can really go away with a lot of DNA. You could literally re-create us.” - Chris Martin “Can we got on with this? I’ve got to do AIDS and Alzheimer’s and land mines this afternoon, and I want to get back for Deal or No Deal. Plus, Gwyneth’s making drumsticks.” - Chris Martin o…

It's in English with Spanish subtitles: http://www.rtve.es/mediateca/videos/20080907/entrevista-exclusiva-coldplay/281392.shtml They say some interesting things: about Obama, U2, sweat... it's pretty interesting. ;) [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OsTG6kkUWvY]YouTube - coldplay speaks out[/ame]

I've just bought the TV magazine for next week and there will be a program on Virgin 17 called Best of Coldplay at 8.40 pm. It will last an hour or so. It will be about their carrier. I could record it but I don't know how to put it online. If somebody else could do it for other Coldplayers, it will be nice for them. :)

Martin followed the news about the EP with the announcement that Coldplay's fifth studio album will be ready "by November 2009 to end the decade." After that record comes out, Martin said the band might lay low for a while: "And then we're gonna be 'Whooosh!' 'Where've they gone?' Just like Keyser Söze." Someone pllleeeaase tell me that thats going to be their LAST LP? to me it sounds like they might be ending early. im soooo scared. theyre too young

Vote for Coldplay.com in the BT Digital Music Awards :) I'm sure everybody votes for Coldplaying.com EVERY DAY (if not, YOU MUST). But now you need to do the same for Coldplay.com, as asked on their website here.

I'd never seen this one before, but it's a behind-the-scenes video from when Chris was on Extras. Might be one of the funniest things I've ever seen: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pe0vfITgZpE Sorry if it's posted before, but I'm usually up on these things and I've only just seen it. There's too many good bits in it to name.

First of all, let me apologize if a thread like this has already been done, but I havent been through all the threads to find out if it has or not!! Anyway, I thought I would ask everyone, what was it about Coldplay that made you become a fan, albeit a casual one or a true hardcore one?? what attracted you to the band?? Was it their music, the band itself, them as people?? How did you all become fans in the first place?? Well, for me personally, if anyone told me 3 or 4 years ago that I would be a Coldplay fan, I would have gone into convulsions of laughter and told them "GET OUTTA HERE!!" Now, I eat, drink, sleep, breathe and LIVE Coldplay!! I was drawn to them …

Elizabeth S writes on the different connections that Coldplays new album Viva La Vida has with art. Ferdinand Victor Eugène Delacroix, born in 1798, was a French Romantic artist, held by many as the pioneer of the French Romantic School. Delacroix could represent reality with the skill of a master and yet borrow richly from exotic inspirations. Also hugely proficient at lithography, he illustrated various works of William Shakespeare, the Scottish writer Sir Walter Scott and the German writer Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe. But what Delacroix himself did not know was that he would be the album cover artist for a 20th century band that he never knew existed. The band i…

When they release prospects march ep, when they tour next summer, do you think they might ditch their costumes and return to something more like AROBTTH. jeans and a shirt. i kind of like that better than these costumes. i know everyone loves these costumes because it goes with the album, but i think it should be more rock and roll type clothing instead of a pop group. i hpe they do. i mean they end up taking off all that stuff their wearing by the middle of the concert.

Hiho, dear geeks. With some work, I got to this XML page, I'm stuck there. There's no clear info about the location of the file which would be played in the BBC Player, only the server address and the variable "secure/coldplay000", which is probably holding the real address of the video. But we need to know where is this variable set, and I can't find anything in the source code of the stream page. EDIT: I tried to merge the server with the thing I think is a variable (I got "http://cp56594.edgefcs.net/secure/coldplay000"), but it's a directory, and it's protected by a blank index file, which stops us of seeing the real content of the directory. Any ideas?

A flier outside the Laurel Tree, a local Camden club, read "January 16th, 1998, Starfish + others live at the Laurel Tree". A one-man tech crew could be seen through the crowd of rowdy teenagers on the decrepit stage setting up microphones for the night's act. Around one hundred and fifteen people were stuffed into a room, all of them unable to maneuver their way through the commotion. Backstage, ready to lay their musical aspirations on the line for the first time was the band Starfish. Yes, Starfish. Not exactly the name of a band anyone in their right mind would expect to make it in the music industry. But here we are, ten years, four studio albums, five EPs, and o…

Five million reasons to smile: Jonny Buckland, Chris Martin With EMI losing Paul McCartney, Radiohead and The Rolling Stones in quick succession, and with other acts on the label, such as Robbie Williams, threatening to go on strike, it wasn't looking good for the famous imprint earlier this year. Throw in the fact that EMI has been hoovered up by a private equity firm, and that a lot of the "music" people at the label had either jumped or been pushed, and there was speculation about its continuing existence. Terra Firma (the new owner of EMI) had its first real test with the release of Coldplay's Viva La Vida album two months ago. McCartney had left the label be…

This is where I tell all you fine ppl of coldplaying.com about how I fell in love with this great band called coldplay. You see I am from Pakistan so I am more into music from that area. I hardly listened to american or UK bands. There was a time there when I hated most music from the states which made me beleive that there was no good music left after the likes of bands like Oasis, U2, Greenday, Etc....including other bands I liked. Until I came back from high school one day and turned on VH1 and saw the video of "Yellow". I thought to myself, "wow this is a great song!" Slowly after the video ended I went back to listening to other artists I enjoyed back then a…
