Every song they make seems timeless --- the album parachutes may be 8 yrs old but it really can fit to the music of 2008... To prove this the last 3 albums of coldplay are still charting in US and the UK all close apart and sales are still adding up worldwide. In the next 10 yrs... where would coldplay be after its explosive success? Will they fade in with time just as Oasis has? Will all members still be intact just as U2 has? Or Will they be the Biggest band ever? Make your own predictions... let us see after 10 yrs.... we may never know....... :D

Hi Folks In this summer holidays, I've made a picture in Rügen (it's in Germany by the sea side in the east) It's a bit melancholic. In my oopinion it goes with the song "Swallowed in the Sea" so I toke a phrase out of this song and then I've made a poster. Maybay you like it as well, so I've took it on internet: Follow this link: http://www.npp.ch/picture.htm greets

Dad's the word COLDPLAY singer Chris Martin and actress wife Gwyneth Paltrow may attract all the media attention over their children Apple and Moses, but he's not the only member of the band who's a proud dad. Drummer Will Champion and his wife Marianne welcomed twins Juno and Rex into the world on May 7, a little sister and brother to two-year-old Ava-Mae. Meanwhile, a source close to Coldplay told Insider the British band hoped to tour Australia soon for the upcoming release of their fourth album, Viva La Vida. http://www.news.com.au/dailytelegraph/story/0,22049,23746849-5009160,00.html

One of the things that I hoped to accomplish with my two books The Rock & Roll Rebellion, Faith, God & Rock 'n' Roll and my next, Rock Gets Religion, was to encourage artists to use their music to grapple with the big issues of life. Theology, the study of our beliefs about God is of course one of those big issues of life that smart people like to sit around and speculate about, and U2 has always done a good job of talking theology, albeit obliquely. For many U2 fans, Bono's religious lessons were easy to swallow because he always gave them an out. After all, though he didn't have a sex act in mind when he sang "If you want to touch the sky better learn to kne…

It's puzzling me. Does anyone know if there's a particular meaning to the butterflies that rained down at the end of the show? Why butterflies? They were pretty awesome :D Thanks! ~Ryan :-)

it's cool how they are really sticking to that "home made feel" they have been talking so much about... ie. Violet Hill video, the viva la vida music videos, their clothes, hand painted instruments, even their concerts seem more homey and less wrought with spectacle... truth be told though i miss some aspects of the grandeur that was the X&Y Coldplay... the Speed of Sound and Fix You music videos had such a galactic scale it was very dazzling but at the same time well balanced with their "down to earth" personalities... and their concerts are certainly more intimate this tour but the set-list of songs seem, at least to me, to be too epic to be played with that intima…
