Hey, I thougt I'd start a topic where people can ask questions, who need a bit help while learning to play the keyboard/piano... --- Okay, my first question... I was learning the C and G chord today. I have no problem playing the C chord. With the G chord I was wondering, if it's a problem when I am playing it with other fingers than the book is saying. Book is saying use fingers 1, 3 and 5. But I prefer fingers 1, 2 and 5. Could this be a problem later, when I am playing the G chord different, or doesn't that matter which fingers I'm using?

Does anyeone have the chord that Chris plays in swalloed in the sea?? Ive had a stab at working them out by ear but its proving a tad challenging Any help would be grand

OK, so my new job is going pretty well now, and I've finally got enough money coming in to finally buy a top of the line guitar. I'm currently leaning towards a Gretsch Tennesee Rose. I really like it's tone, but, I'm not sure if it's good for the music I will be playing. If I'm in a U2/Coldplay/Radiohead/etc. cover band, how will this guitar work for this type of music? I've heard that Jonny Greenwood has used one, but I've never seen him use it on any of the 4 occasions(sp?), I've seen Radiohead live. I'm a bit worried that although I love the sound of the guitar now, it will suck for the kind of gigging I intend to do with it...:confused: Thoughts? Opinions?

Hello everyone, I got an electric guitar for christmas, and I was just wondering: - How do I get distortion? - Is the tremolo (or that thing on the bridge, not sure of the name) always necessary? or just with some songs? - what's the standard or the most common effect and style on the amply? and the tone? and gain? For example what do I have to have to play yellow? (other than the tunning) or paranoid android? THANKS

I'm experimenting with my new Les Paul and am finding that the standard 2" Fender straps I use on my other guitars are simply not working well for me with a guitar of this weight. Anyone have any suggestions?

The other day, I thought I saw a picture of JB playing a sunburst thinline tele with a painted pickguard, but now I can't seem to find it. Before he left his sunburst one unpainted, so is this a new guitar or did he really get that one painted too now? (or did I imagine the whole thing?)

Like Chris does, ive been avoiding it in certain situations, especially on higher frets because it hurts to make those chords Question, does it get easier? Ive only really started trying the last few days. Or should i just use the workarounds ive been using, which dont sound as clean but are easier to maintain? I ask this because i know my thumb wont grow anymore :laugh3:

I think the very end of Glass of Water is absolutely blissful and wish that it going on indefinitely, and it could if I knew how to play it on my piano. If someone could be my personal savior and figure out the piano chords that are played in the last ~15 seconds of Glass of Water that would be much appreciated. Thank You. Might I add that I would virtually hug the person that would do this for me. :hug:
