Okay, so as I oftenly do, I was messing around with my acoustic guitar and I stumbled across the chords chris plays for prospekts march, I played along with the record to make sure, and I was right. here it is. * - optional note, you don't HAVE to play it CAPO 2. STANDARD TUNING. Sorry some of the chords seem like they're a beat fast or slow to the lyrics it's something to do with the text box on coldplaying. listen to the song to figure it out. Chris uses alot of hammer ons and pull offs on the chords you can figure them out in a second if you listen to the song to know where HAVE FUN. Hi everyone I'm new to this site but I got a very big question that's bathering me. First, I have bought a drum kit and got that crazy and awesome idea to record my Rock Band songs for the Xbox360 on my pc. I have recorded all the songs I like in 'practice mode' for the drums. But without playing on the plastic drums I now record the whole song without the drum track. It's like a backing track. Totally awesome! However, I looove Coldplay and want to find a coldplay cd with backing tracks for the drums. Then I can play drums to songs made by coldplay. I found this website and this cd: http://www.musicroom.com/se/ID_No/057902/details.html However, at the bott…

Here's a quick one, I have most of the song sorted out, the only thing I'm unsure about is Jonny' FX heavy tremolo picking bit during the chorus. There's tons of flange and stuff going on and I can't quite make out the notes. Most of it is played on the higher frets of the D and B string so I can't quite see the frets he's holding either. Here's them playing it at Belfort... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=okrrn1r5TYQ and glastonbury... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0-2QemiQ4hk any help is appreciated :D.

Hope you enjoy my 3am, just heard one of the great songs, hadn't bought the album yet, tribute. [ame= ] [/ame] And for the record, the little sign for the first 20 seconds is just there to cover up the video errors i had from a bad DVD in the camcorder.

Hey, this is my first thread so I hope I don't stuff it up. I have an electric guitar but no amplifier so I've been bashing it (kinda hard, i guess) to get some sound. The strings have started to get a high pitched rattle when I strum them now and I think I've discovered  why a friend told me not to play it so hard. Is this a major problem? Can/does it need fixing?

This is my first post so be gentle! Does anyone know how Jonny gets that endless guitar sound at the beginning of Lovers In Japan? He is strumming quite a lot when you see him doing it but you can't hear the strumming if you know what I mean. An idea of what pedals and settings he uses to achieve the effect?

Not sure if this is the right place for this, if not ill move it.... I was just wondering how many people on this forum play in a band and if so what instrument do you play? Do you do orginals or covers? both? I play keyboard for a band. We do covers and orginals, but try to focus on our original work more. If you want to hear what we sound like go here: http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/pages/Conscious-Limit/59018297784?ref=ts There will be a few songs towards the bottom of the page that you can listen to. Feel free to become a fan if you'd like! Let me know what you guys think.

Hey, I was interested if anyone on here knew about the equipment and effects that used on X&Y. More specifically, songs like Square One, White Shadows, Talk, Speed of Sound ect, have what seems like a synth that creates almost an atmospheric backdrop for the songs...if you dont know what i am talking about, it is most apparent the first couple of seconds of White Shadows and the intro to Square One... and those types of sounds seem to be used lots throughout the record. Does anybody know what the band uses to create these? Any ideas are welcome oh, and if this is a waste of a thread, if there isnt already one, maybe it could become the official xy sounds/effect…

I was sure Yes was played with a Slide part as JB's lead line, but I recently saw a video where he clearly played the part without slide. How do you make the long "swooshy" runs without use of slide?

Anyone who either plays bass or can transcribe parts or even just make a MIDI, any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to play the bass part for the Lifehouse song "The Joke". There's no tabs anywhere, no MIDI's nothing, and this song being learned has the potential to help me start a band!

I just heard (the brand new?) Now My Feet Won't Touch The Ground for the first time 10 minutes ago. It's evident that the guitar in that song is not in standard tuning. I happened to have my acoustic guitar in CACGBC tuning (used in Til Kingdom Come), and thought I heard similar chords. So I picked up the guitar and found out that CACGBC is most likely the tuning used in NMFWTTG. I haven't had the time to put together a complete chord pattern, but here are some chords you could try (I used the same chord names as the X&Y tab book used). They are probably in the order of "appearance" :P: .......C5..Csus2...C*....C...Gsus4... C|-----0-----0-----0-----0-----0-----…

Hello guys. I need your help again. :) I would like to buy a cheap effect processor(I don't have a job, since I'm a secodary school student), and I found three, which look like it could be cool in the price range. They are: -Korg AX5G -Zoom G1X -Digitech RP-90 I've chosen them, because, frst of all, they are pretty cheap, probably decent, and have an expression/volume pedal. I haven't tried any of them, because you can't really find them at the local music shop, so I'll have to order them from the internet. I know this is very bad, but that seems to be the only choice(or I can buy horrible stuff from the shop, that I tried :D ). So please if you can tell me which of …
