Does he have 5 now? I know last tour he had four, but at the Chicago show, he played one that looked to me to be new (well not new, vintage, but new for him)

I have about £150-200 to spend and basically since i started learning the drums ive become rather besotted with learning more and more instruments, its almost become an obsession, but a healthy one. Anyway ive trolled the internet and have become rather confused as to what sort of keyboard suits me best. hello i´m just trying to get the ending of clocks .. y saw the BBC 2008 a few days ago. It appears in the minute 8:08 to 8:11 ..that´s the right way to play it but .. i can´t get it complete .. somebody knows .. i´m not god :(

Hi everyone, i have this yamaha keyboard and one of the reason i chose it was the possibility to transfer the music in the computer to listen to it and share it with others. But , once stored in the computer, the sound is just awful, very poor compared to what the keyboard can do. it sounds like a squeaky guitar, not like a piano. Is this a limitation of the midi format or can i use some software to keep the quality of the sound?

is it me or is there a lack of guitar tabs for the new album? 911 tabs have some tabs of the new stuff but on this forum tabs seem to be very very scarce. kapones tabs were pretty decent for older songs. as far as VLV personally i think its due to the fact that the album is still relatively new and also there seems to be not as many songs which can be tabbed for guitar. i think a good idea would be to try and collect all the tabs for the new album and create a new thread or whatever for them. links to 911 tabs are ok but i think the members here have better input and plus its a better place for discussion of variations in tabs. what do you guys think?

Yep, I start next week. Sounded like a fun idea. One thing though, I need a bass and I have absolutely no idea what to buy. My brother (the musical genius of the family) knows nothing about them so he was no help. So, can anyone help me? I honestly don't know a thing about them.

Does anyone know how Jonny obtains that echoe-y sound? Like at the end of the Live 03 Life is for Living, and he also does it constant throughout Lovers in Japan. That tremolo-picking type of riff has some sort of sound effect that makes the note ring out very smoothly. Does anyone know what kind of effects he's using?

I have been playinf for a while now. I know I have improved a lot. People tell me i have tons of potential. I just need to work on two things: Theory and my timing. The theory I have no problem with. It all makes sense to me. But my timing is rubbish. I've tried playing with a metronome but it pisses me off. I know that may be my only option...any tips you guys got?

Has anyone noticed the piano outro to Politik on most of Coldplay's live performances, most notably in Live 2003? I can play the entire song but for that... is it possible for anyone to transcribe that? Much appreciated if so.

Recently, whenever I play my acoustic with a capo on (any position, but I mostly play on 2nd fret.) the tuning goes off after I remove the Capo (not standard and not the capo-ed tuning). I've been playing for several years and this never was an issue until a few weeks ago. I suspect this may be due to warping of the guitar neck, though warping is not visable to the naked eye. Any thoughts on what could cause this?

Two seperate queries here. Keep in mind this is for acoustic guitar not bass. In the recorded version of The Scientist at 3.42 (after the second chorus) theres kinda an outro by a bass guitar that keeps going till the end of the song) What are the best chords to emulate this without a bass? (I use a capo on 3rd fret) Secondly, the second part of Yellow, the part with 8 chord changes and lots of heavy down strokes. Or 10seconds or so in. I know the chords Im supposed to use, but im after some that ring much louder, and sound far heavier. (as in the recorded version) (capo on second fret) What im trying to do here is play the basic riff for the whole of these…

What makes a good chord progression. Is there some sort of formula to follow or any common ones that a lot of songs use?

A few bits of it sure sound like it. I can't tell though if this is a function of the synths or an actual Leslie. Anyone know?
