Ok, for anyone in the States, abroad, wherever they're airing the current Season 2, this can be the thread for discussion. Due to the fact that some characters are starting to be.... mortally challenged ( :bigcry: ), I think that it's only fair we respect those who are still watching Season 1, or want to steer clear of spoilers. So.... Geek away my fellow Lost-philes!

  2. never thought one of my fav bands and one of my fav book trilogies would come together thus...(if true) Fox predicts a holiday smash Posted by jessia on October 29, 2007 in The Golden Compass movie In his Fox News entertainment round-up, Roger Friedman predicts good things to come from the Golden Compass’ premier this season: “I’ve now seen about a half hour of it, and without a doubt, “The Golden Compass†will be the big holiday smash hit for which Hollywood is so desperate.” He gives Nicole Kidman’s performance a good review, taking back his criticism of her acting in The Invasion (with Daniel Craig). He also speculates about the commercial soundtrack, sayi…

Anyone like a http://www.libble.com invite? I have 5 to give away at the moment. :) PM me if you want one. A good sized music collection is essential. If you do get invited, use the search function before uploading anything. You must know how to create, upload and seed torrents. I would recommend uTorrent. Reding the rules is extremely important. Easier to become a Power User (Upload 5GB vs OiNK's 10GB) Staff aren't a bunch of uptight obnoxious idiots. You get a second chance i.e you do not get temp banned if you break a rule first time e.g uploading a transcode. The offer's out there.

  6. Harry Potter fan, 3, freed by firefighters from traffic cone 'wizard hat' Last updated at 12:48pm on 22nd October 2007 A three-year-old Harry Potter fan had to be cut free by firefighters after putting a traffic cone on his head as a wizard's hat - and it got STUCK. Charlie Thomas, who turned three on Saturday, was playing with his new kite on Sunday when he spotted the cone in a playing field in Cullompton, Devon and put it on. He dashed over to show his parents but it wouldn't budge when they tried to take it off - so they were forced to dial 999. Worried Charlie had to wait 45 minutes until a crew arrived and removed the cone with small levers, cutt…

Come on who nicked the signals??? Portsmouth rail misery continues Rail passengers in Portsmouth face months of travel misery as bosses announce a £100m signalling project will not be completed this year. The project has already overrun twice. Now the BBC has discovered that it will be after Christmas 2007 before the new signals are up and running. Trains will be disrupted for most of the year as hand-pulled lever signals are brought back into service. Network Rail directors have apologised to passengers in the Hampshire city. Passengers had more than a month without trains at the start of this year before a limited service was introduced at the beginning…

Apple will drop the price of it's DRM-free iTunes Plus tracks this week, iLounge.com has reported. The more user-friendly songs, which are also twice the quality of regular tracks, will be available for $0.99 like the rest of the iTunes library. The old DRM-laden versions of the Plus songs will presumably be dropped from the iTunes Store. BEIJING (AP) — Embarking on an ambitious 10-year moon exploration program, China launched its first lunar probe Wednesday — a leap forward in the Asian space race that gave a boost to national pride, and the promise of scientific and military payoffs. Just a week ago, Japan put a probe into orbit around the moon, and India is likely to join the rivalry soon, with plans to send its own lunar probe into space in April. The Long March 3A rocket left a trail of smoke Wednesday as it soared into cloudy skies from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in the southwestern province of Sichuan. Twenty-four minutes later, the Chang'e 1 satellite — named after a mythical Chin…

Road hog: Pig brings traffic on carriageway to standstill so she can feed her piglets Last updated at 19:31pm on 24th October 2007 Comments (1) There was no time for social niceties, table manners or even a please and thank you. 16. Modern life is blamed for obesity, but whatever happened to willpower? 00:53am 18th October 2007 Comments Through a long afternoon at Wimbledon a few months ago, my eyes kept straying from the tennis to two women in the seats in front of us. Game after game, set after set, they munched: hamburgers, sandwiches, biscuits and chocolate, in unbroken succession. It was hard to believe that they were hungry - after the first couple of courses, anyway. They were simply grazing, as carelessly and naturally as any Guernsey in a meadow. I wanted to lean forward and plead: 'Don't do it! You're wrecking your lives.' Of course I did not. They would have be…

Lessing says 9/11 'not that bad' Nobel Prize-winning author Doris Lessing has said that the 11 September attacks were "not that terrible" compared to the IRA's terror campaign. "Some Americans will think I'm crazy... but it was neither as terrible or as extraordinary as they think," the writer told Spanish newspaper El Pais. The 88-year-old added that "people forget" the IRA bomb attack on Margaret Thatcher's government in 1984. Lessing won the Nobel prize, worth £763,000, honouring her 57-year career. Five people died and 34 were injured when an IRA bomb exploded in a Brighton hotel where leading members of the Conservative party - including Mrs Thatcher …

  25. Television has been given a morality bypass By MARK STEPHENS - More by this author » Last updated at 23:06pm on 13th October 2007 Comments (8) The offer was too tempting for Lindsay McCurdy to refuse. A television show would fly her to Los Angeles for a £200,000 extreme makeover. She'd get the full Hollywood treatment: fashion styling, extensive cosmetic surgery to her tummy and face, plus dentistry by the man who fixed Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's teeth. Everything would be free; all she had to do was pose for the cameras. The reality of reality television, however, proved somewhat different for Lindsay. Far from the glamour-laden, life-changing experi…
