Darlene_Ihnfsa Posted October 31, 2011 Share Posted October 31, 2011 Melancholia 8.5/10 didn't understood the first part at first... thought was needed to give a point to understand the 2nd part i guess. simple set, few characters. great kirsten, charlotte and cameron -the kid-. i'd like it had some outside view. also as with dogville, i find it way too long, too theatre-like, too deep emotions which make it a bit hard to understand. but great work showing so different reactions to a same thing. i guess it can fit in those 2012 sci-fi stories. Darlene_Ihnfsa Posted November 1, 2011 Share Posted November 1, 2011 Priest 6/10 hadn't read the comics... but brings few new about post-apocalyptic future. only interesting was to find a prietess in a so 'medieval' theocracy, the 'ninja' crosses and the vampires with no eyes seeming a del toro creature or alien. plot could had been much better. second part perhaps? Certain areas of the movie were very well done and filmed, but other bits weren't. Also the acting wasn't so good overall. But for a silent film it was enjoyable.
