Coldplay concerts and marijuana

Featured Replies

I thought about it and yes, I'm not going to go see Coldplay tonight because there's a chance pot might be there.

Not. It was just really annoying at the Plant concert because people were going INSANE. It was...... scary. To say the least. And really, I don't mind at big places if someone's doing it, just don't blow it in my face. Or hand anything to me. Then I couldn't give a shit if you want to do it!

If they were going insane after smoking I guarantee you it wasn't just pot they had intoxicated themselves with. Marijuana has never killed anyone in its entire existence of over thousands of years so please spare the D.A.R.E. class. It obviously stayed with you after middle school. Would it be better if everyone got drunk and a few fights broke out in front of you.

At my concert, there were so many people smoking pot, I almost wanted to leave :stunned:

It was horrible in there, some people actually left in the middle of the concert because of it.

:uhoh:

at the concert in Barcelona i didn't noticied it, i guess the pot might be in the stand area not seats.. :uhoh:

*glad that i choose the seats*

at ours it was in the seats, 300 sections back.

In Vancouver, it doesn't what concert you're at, people will smoke pot no matter who theyre seeing. I definitely smelled some weed during and after Yellow last night, but other than that it seemed less than normal for Vancouver

Quite a bump, but may as well share a brief story:

My friend brought a few joints to our Coldplay concert in November. I told him I'd have no part in it, and if he got in trouble, I was entitled to still enjoy the concert. He had no problem sneaking it in (way easier than cameras, actually). So he started smoking as soon as LIT started, but some overprotective dad next to him smelled it and started screaming and threatening him. So he put it away, but after the concert, he told me his high lasted for Clocks, which is all he cared about.

But yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if you smell it, but I wouldn't overreact unless it's overbearing.

So annoying, it's ok if it is a little bit, but otherwise those people make me sick. :shifty:

The people, or what they're smoking??

hurrah for non-smoking venues :D

I never saw or smelled any at any of the shows I've been to, but at an Eagles show I went to a few years ago it was everywhere at one point I even moved because I was getting a little light headed.

I've been to a variety of concerts, and Coldplay is the only one where I HAVEN'T smelled or seen a trace of pot. I do remember my mom being reluctant about letting me go to my first Coldplay concert, though, because she was afraid it would be full of wild potheads :laugh3:

It may feel good, but it just makes your life worse. Why in the hell would you want to smoke that shit and forget the concert. Its not worth it. Plus the health risks, and I just dont do it because its just plain distgusting!!!!

EVERY concert I go to (all Coldplay concerts included), I always end up sitting next to some jerk who wreaks of weed. The smell makes me nauseous.

at the toronto concert this summer there were a few people like 30 feet from me on the floor who were smoking, i saw the smoke first then smelt it. They were the only ones i saw but i was like "really, must you do that here?" lol

At the Alpine Valley show, someone next to me asked the security guard in front of the stage if he cared about pot and he responded "hell no, I ask for a drag" :laugh3:

Maybe if more people were high the shows would be somewhat interesting.

Wow I really had no idea that people got high at Coldplay concerts :stunned:

A large group of lads were smoking pot when I went,

It didn't affect me too much, it made me feel slightly sick.

The only time I ever smoke marijuana (usually involves drinking also) is when I want to forget about life.
