i think that we share more than one thing. coldplay is not for all people, that's what i mean. i know more or less what those things are but i would like to know what about you all...

I like Coldplay cause their music appeals to me. Its funny cause I'm a rap man. I love rap music, yet Coldplay is my favorite band. I can't think of an important event of my life and not remember Coldplay playing in the background.

Well, where do I begin?! I love Coldplay because... Hmmm, it's hard to explain. Basically becaus their music is absolutely, incredibly, amazingly (you get the picture!) beautiful, amazing, stunning (you get the picture part.2.!). Their music has so many different meanings to different people and I personally can relate to so many of their songs. Coldplay are so different to any other bands out there. I can't exactly describe in words why I'm afraid I just love them! :) Songs such as In My Place and Fix You instill hope into me, X&Y gets me cos it's simply asking why things in life happen, and helped me get through a rough time I've been going through when I've been asking myself, 'what the hell is this happening to me for??' And Parachutes and ROBTTH are just incredible too, i can't explain why lol. We love Coldplay for millions of different reasons, everyone has a different reason that can't be explained. And they're such funny, nice, cool guys too! They were hilarious on Jonathan Ross, their sense of humour is so, well, me!!! Hmm, so i've not really answered ur question, but illustrated that sometimes, people are just drawn to certain people and bands - and it also helps if said band's music is bloody marvellous :lol:

Coldplay is amazing...their music is absolutely brilliant, and as people the guys are completely wonderful in their morals and ideas, yet at the same time they're just as normal as anyone else

also, their music isn't just bang, bang, i'm trying to be hard core but im not with some words here and there. their music actually has meaning, with melodies. that's how i think music should be played. but those who hate coldplay probably hate them because they find them too dull, too depressing, or too boring. well those people are just too boring themselves.

Yo Jazzy_luvs_Coldplay - thanks for agreeing with what I said - I just read it back and I just rambled and put down what I was thinking at the that exact moment! Having contemplated the question again I can gladly say that other people have managed to say exactly what I wanted to say perfectly, so thank you for that lol, especially one comment about them having strong moral values but being just ordinary guys - may sound strange, but I know exactly what you mean - I in particular find it hard to find ordinary people cos some of the people in my school are either stuck up themselves (I apologise for that grotesque image!) or just well, weird! Don't mean to sound shallow, but it's really refreshing to be able to relate 4 amazingly cool ordinary guys - well, ordinary and then some, cos they are flipping, extremely talented guys aren't they! OK, ramble number 2 over - basically, I love Coldplay and I never get tired of saying that - sorry again if that annoys people - I can't help pinning my colours to my mast, or whatever that phrase is! :D

Sometimes I sit at home, doing Sudoku, and I'll be listening to other music, and I'll pop in AROBTTH, and right about the end of politik, i'll suddenly become overcome by this emotion, akin to when one falls head over heels in love, and I think to myself, "this has got to be the best thing I have ever heard." So much so that Coldplay inspires me to write bad poetry. And that's why I love coldplay.

I love Coldplay because their music is so different than the rest of the bands, thei lyrics are originl and i feel identified with them, they are the best !!!!!! Don't they inspire you people??

Well............ mmmmmmm... a difficult question.

Sincerely, I am punk girl... I love the punk music and hard rock, but Coldplay is my favorite band! I never heard alternative rock, I didn't hate it, but just I didn't heard it, but in the moment that I know Coldplay..... is like! Wowwwww!!!!! is that exist?! And I falll in love with the rock alternative! And because of Coldplay I love a lot of bands that I didn't know!!! :lol:

Well, there are millions of reasons why I love Coldplay but mainly it's because they seem to speak to ME personally, as Fixed says. My husband was/is(??) cheating on me, and when I first heard What If? I had just found out. When I listened to the words, 'What if you should decide that you don't want me there by your side, that you don't want me there in your life?' somehow I felt as though Coldplay had written this gorgeous song just for me. My favourite band used to be Travis, but there is this indefinable something about Coldplay which I can't put into words. It doesn't matter how often I listen to them, I never get bored.

Guy's beautiful face and shy, reserved personality

Jonny and Wills' sense of humour

The intelligence of all the guys

The wonderful example the band set by giving 10% of their money to charity

The fact that the guys are DECENT - ie they don't do drugs, don't overdrink, aren't covered in tattoes or body piercings

Just because they are beautiful in every way. I am in love with them all!!
