bahahahaha Potty Pete :laugh4: :laugh4:

sorry :nice: you can go back to ur arguing now

Aw, I wouldn't bash him so much. He seems like a nice guy--just... a junkie.

None of us are drug addicts (I hope not ) so we don't really know how hard it is to stop using drugs... there's physical and mental withdrawl symptoms that are really quite horrendous when you stop using a drug immediately.

Plus, we don't know if he really can't stop or if he really doesn't fucking care that he's a junkie, so yeah... we can't really judge the guy.

Drug addiction is a horrible thing, kiddos.

I am in total agreement with you on that - but if he really "doesn't care", then that's even worse, IMO!!

bahahahaha Potty Pete :laugh4: :laugh4:

sorry :nice: you can go back to ur arguing now

Please feel free to join in if you wish.............................

at last I found a web for downloading realplayer, I think I didn't find the good one!! haha, I'm worse than you on computers, you see? :laugh4:

at last I can hear it!! wohoooo!

im afraid any comment ill say here will cost me my life :uhoh:

im afraid any comment ill say here will cost me my life :uhoh:

What a wimp!!:P

no dude... seriously. im scared for my life :uhoh:

I must admit, these PP fans are damn scary!!:P

Wooo finally, and it only took you a day:lol:

the first time i listened to it i started crying like in the first 2 minutes:embarassed: it's pretty sad.

i think you're missing the point completly. you're approaching this as if you know how what's going in Pete's head and then judging it. it's not very nice putting yourself in someone else's skin when (presumably, and wishing) you don't know a thing about it. drugs are bad. no one here said they're good. and that's the only thing we can discuss here, 'cus no one (i hope so) here had any hard-drugs experience.

You're missing the point completely. There are presumably countless music stars who do drugs in some shape or form, but they do it in private and therefore you are extremely unlikely to hear anything about it or see them "out of their heads".

The problem with "PP" is that he keeps shooting up (or appearing to shoot up) in public, and it has been very obvious on numerous occasions that he was completely "wasted".

This is a disgraceful way to act in public, as there are impressionable kids out there who are going to imitate his behaviour and think it's "cool" because he does it.

yeah..it's much better when they present themselfs as all anti drug people and doing drugs behind curtains (coldplay FIRST comes into my mind). hypocrsy has always been better. yeah.

Pete took drugs in public? where, tell me? this last video is clearly a candid one, as he took drugs in his hotel room.

as for *cool* presentation..the way media has presented it (and i'm in no way telling it's the wrong way) i'm sure no one here wants to do any drugs seeing on Pete what happens. ;)

Well if he cleans up his act or is at least more discreet, maybe it will stop.;)

what discression you're aiming to? do explain cus i don't really know.

Presumably not, but he certainly hasn't done much to avoid them being taken, has he?]

as if you'd know...:dozey:

aww, Rachel! :bigcry:

yeah, only a day!!

I'm still listening to it and I'll listen to it tomorrow! They sometimes seem they're about to cry, as well, you can notice of that when you hear their voice... there's so much honestly.

a question, when did they record that interview?

edit: you should definitely go and see Pete - that solo he'll do!!!

yeah..it's much better when they present themselfs as all anti drug people and doing drugs behind curtains (coldplay FIRST comes into my mind). hypocrsy has always been better. yeah.

I doubt that any of Coldplay are doing hard drugs, but if they are, they've certainly managed to keep it very quiet, unlike PP.;)

Pete took drugs in public? where, tell me? this last video is clearly a candid one, as he took drugs in his hotel room.

Well it was clearly in front of members of the public - hence the photo!;)

what discression you're aiming to? do explain cus i don't really know.

as if you'd know...:dozey:

PP has been extremely indiscreet with regard to his junkie activities - that's how we all know about it.;)

Wait, Steph is going to see Peter today? omg!

haha I get a kick out of people thinking we're scary and will kill them if they say anything.

What's so brilliant about it is they're right. :laugh4: :laugh4: :sneaky:

I like being feared :smug:

I like Pete's music and i like him for that and not the drugs and i think that most babyshambles fans and libertines fan would say the same, i hate the fact he takes drugs and i want him to stop but thats his business, he obviously wants to stop or he wouldn't be in rehab. And i would never take drugs because pete takes them and i don't think he makes them look cool either he's probably made me never want to take drugs cause i know how fucked up he is. Not all of his fans are junkie's or at least all my friends and people ive met at the gigs arent.

And it's not like he actually sold that tape to the papers somebody secretly recorded it and sold it for £10,000 and it was the papers idea to put it on the front cover not his.

Also can i just say his name is Peter Doherty not POTTY PETE you really should stop reading The Sun.

I doubt that any of Coldplay are doing hard drugs, but if they are, they've certainly managed to keep it very quiet, unlike PP.:wink2:

oh so..we only consider a hypocrsy when it's a question of HARD drugs. nice.

Well it was clearly in front of members of the public - hence the photo!:wink2:

two girls went with him into his room and took shoot of him. i don't know who to question more in this situation. where is he suspossed to take his drugs any way if you consider his room public? under his bed, in his shower ?where?

PP has been extremely indiscreet with regard to his junkie activities - that's how we all know about it.

yeah..he stated he has some serious issues, that doesn't seem fine for you?

all the rest junkie activities were taken so they could be sold to some tabloid press. not him.

Why do people slow down to see a car crash?

Is it the people's fault for having the accident in the middle of a highway, where everyone can see? Or is it our society's obsession with voyuerism?

Yanno, I live in a state where four years ago over 100 people died in a nightclub fire. Four years later a tape has arisen that someone recorded the ENTIRE event, and pictures from inside as it went up in smoke are available to the public too. They show them on the top of the news, including the begining of the fire. How horrifying that must be to the family's and friends of those who died, who are dying as that tape rolls... I don't know.

Why is this relevent? Because the video that person's released to the media has NO purpose. The responsible parties have already been tried and found guilty of their respective crimes. All it shows is horror and the aftermath. What's the point? The point is that every single person is obsessed with horror, with the destruction of the human spirit, and suffering. People'll deny it and put the blame on the one doing the deed, but it's the person's choice to watch. It's our own fault for having an obsession with seeing a fire on TV, with seeing a junkie shoot up. Is it Peter's fault he does drugs? Yes. Is it Peter's fault someone brought a video tape, taped it, then released it to the media? No. Did he record himself? No, obviously not. Does he write the Sun articles? No. Does he buy them? Most likely not.

Do you buy them? Probably, or give them hits on their site at least. And you feed it, and they keep writing these articles. Then people think they have the right to complain about some dumbass like Paris Hilton getting attention. It's because people buy the magazines. Because they like dumbasses, and like to feel better about themselves looking at them. And people get off on seeing someone else destroy themselves.

It takes a small person to sit and laugh at the junkie, but a bigger person to try and see past it and wonder why anyone really gives a shit.

We all know about it because the media has chosen him as a martyre, they count the hours to his death and laugh because they've got all you little puppets dancing along with them, counting down the hours too. They make money on death. I don't want to know how much the person got for selling the tape of the nightclub fire to the media. I can only assume a fair amount.

Death is a beautiful thing, and can make you some nice money.

In this post, I'm not making any excuses. I'm not ignoring anything. I'm just saying don't say it's the car crash that makes traffic slow down, but human nature.

Firstly, if he hadn't taken drugs in the company of complete strangers, there wouldn't have been a photo in the first place.;)

Secondly, "Potty Pete" is a great name, so I think I'll carry on using it, thanks!!

oh, well, actually we're a bit terrifying. I remember the first time I posted in this thread and I was way too scared of all of you!! :laugh4:

it makes you feel more important, somehow, right?

by the way, did you ask your father that?!

Wait, Steph is going to see Peter today? omg!

haha I get a kick out of people thinking we're scary and will kill them if they say anything.

:laugh3: :laugh3: :laugh3:

No she's not going to see him today it's in a few days i think:thinking:

That documentary is really sad ive listened to it loads of times and it still makes me cry I think they recorded it at the end of 2004 or aroud that time not sure. Have you watched any of the other docs yet?

I can't go and see him cause i live to far away and i'd have to catch the train and i'd have nowhere to stay.

Why do people slow down to see a car crash?

You can't compare the two, because the people in the fire were innocent victims, whereas PP is entirely responsible for his own predicament.;)

Nobody forced him to start taking drugs.

I wasn't fucking saying that. I was comparing the idea of voyeurism in seeing victims of a fire and seeing the victim of a drug addiction shoot up. It was an extreme example, but you've completely ignored the main point of my argument. To be expected. People are absolutely fascinated with death and destruction. It's just "cool." Peter is a victim of the fact that people feel a need to follow him around with camera's and videos every single moment of his life trying to catch the "moment" and make 10,000 pounds selling it to a shitrag that people buy walking through a supermarket.

He's not paying Vh1 to follow him around like Shooting Sizemore where an A-list actor has released footage of himself, in the pitfalls of his heroine addiction, hit rock bottom. It's not like Breaking Bonaduce. He's not being paid to make the cover of the Sun each week.

I never fucking said he was innocent, I said it's your own fault for giving a shit that you keep hearing about it.

I won't say anymore about the thread because Big Brother's watching ;)

I'll just have to start thinking in doublespeak! :laugh4: I really feel like I'm in a fucking 1984 novel lately, around here. Jesus.

oh well.

Can i just ask what is the point in this thread? what are you trying to prove? Are you trying to make people hate Peter cause if that is the case then it's not really working is it.

And mc_squared if you were offended by the video then here's a video of Peter apologising just go to the right hand corner and click video

http://www.splashnews.com/

EDIT: And Dani please don't get wound up by a pathetic thing like this they're obviously not getting it.

:laugh4:

^^ oh, I thought you didn't live that far away from London.

I haven't yet, but I will... I've spent the whole afternoon at my uni waiting for my teacher - I just wanted to see him for asking him some questions. Anyway, I added to my favourites the web where you put all of the links ;)
