It was Joanna. Yes, we "hated " her because this was in the early days of finding out he had a paramour.

It's a pity you actually found out her name, otherwise she could have forever been known as "handbag lady".:P

Maybe Guy broke up with her because of her handbag obsession.

Funny, when I first read "handbag lady", I thought WTF!! Because I associate "handbag lady" with Lady Margaret Thatcher from the time when she was British Prime Minister and said NO in the EU. England would not pay more to the EU! That gave her that nickname "the lady with the handbag". LOL.

Rumour has it she used it to hit her ministers over the head with and keep them in line....................

Is it just me or does she seem to break their "deal", about not talking about their marriage publicly, more and more?

Well, she's being asked about him and their marriage. It's not like she's going around yakking to everyone who will listen.

????

I am not the handbag lady...Joanna Berryman is. She has a little girl from Guy and all I "know" is that she has custody and he has access.

I only offered the question of what happened to Guy and Joanna's marriage in the context of our discussing love, privacy, friendship and the interview with Gwyneth Paltrow.

Or do you mean Joanna is not "going about yakking "...do you mean, like Gwyneth? Oh email chatting is so open to misunderstandings!

As for Lady Margaret, we do not discuss politics on Coldplaying.com. But I will, if you want to try....:wink3::whip::whip::whip::smash::uhoh:

WEll, not YOU the earlier posters. Sorry.

When people have a lot of possibilities available to them because of wealth and privileges, they don't need to depend on one another so much. And I know it is hard to believe, but passion isn't the same thing as love, and I cannot imagine love without friendship and respect. It is those things which can keep a couple together for decades. After all, if your partner falls ill or is injured, such that sex is not a part of the relationship any longer, one may choose to remain a couple under new arrangements. These are reasonably sophisticated young adults with children together. They have a private relationship. And it is a fact that with the first rush of blood to the head settled down, their relationship takes on new dimensions. They may have affairs (I hope not, but you never know), hurt each other, work through it, whatever, but we will not be privy to it. I respect both of them for that. I know next to nothing about what broke up Guy and Joanna, do you?

^Brilliantly said :smug:. It reminds me of something Madonna said about Guy when they were divorcing; she had a bad fall from a horse and was bedridden for weeks, and during that time, she *really* saw what kind of person he was. He had no compassion for her or interest in helping her out. She really began to dislike him, regardless of their sexual relationship.

That marriage was never going to last, anyway. It was far too "showbizzy".:dozey:

Excuse-me, I've got a question: Does the song "country song" sing by Gwyneth has been written by Chris or not at all ?

No, but he wrote a song for the movie called "Me and Tennessee"

Ah yeah I forgot the tittle, do you know the tittle of the song exactly ?

Thanks. :nice:

Okay. Thanks a lot. :nice:

Yes, it is shocking when the blinders fall away. I had a partner who was emotionally abusive to me and I was sinking into depression. I went to different cognitive therapists to help me learn to communicate better. But my partner MOCKED me. "It doesn't seemed to have helped you any," was the remark. All the responsibility for success in the relationship was on my shoulders. I should have started making plans to move on that day, but after 20 years together, and because of my nature, i didn't want to give up. But I found I trusted my "friend" less and less, and even grew to dislike being near, couldn't have sex (I couldn't have sex with someone who disrespected me that much).

We are apart now after 27 years. I used to think it was all my fault, but now I see how both our character defects played their roles in the situation. I am not angry so much as hurt, devastated, and a bit lost. At my age, it isn't easy to just pick myself up and dust myself off. But I have learned a lot from all of it.

I imagine wealthy and famous people must have great difficulty in knowing who they can trust: "Do they want to be around me for ME or for my position/power/fame/privileges/ wealth, etc.?" they must think. If I were rich, I would live very quietly and simply so people wouldn't know about it. I would know then how they really feel. But that will never be an issue for ME!:D

If people have a little respect for Guy not to talk about what happened in his marriage and speculation.

is not as Chris.

I think he is a man who does not speak, and who is tired of story showbise blabla ..

aspires to a quiet life now and be himself.

Yes. Could not have said it better. I really wonder about stars who moan and groan about paparazzi. I think of actors and other famous people who get by very fine, thank you very much: Jodie Foster, who leads an alternative life, Mel Gibson's family is invisible, even if he is not (by the way, I actually feel compassion for that poor human being) and unless one is absorbed in it, I have no clue at all about most celebs. If they reeeeeeeally want privacy they can get it. I read books instead with my spare time, create art and attend school (and work when I can find it). I gave up my satellite TV this month. I will regret losing nature programs, but they had dropped serious and current science programs, have dumbed down the educational stuff (history, especially) and what is the point? I can search out what I am interested inon the web. I wish science people would set up a web channel to discuss string theory, you know, Michael Otsuka, Brian Green, Dyson, Weissberg all you sorts, get it on! The WEB! SCREW TV! Sorry, needed to let off steam....have I drifted from th etopic, or WHAT? :shocked2:

Matthew Morrison on Cameron Diaz: Just Friends! - E! Online

While the Glee hunk didn't have much to say about Cameron, he couldn't stop gushing about the show's upcoming guest star Gwyneth Paltrow.

"Dare I say I have a crush on Gwyneth Paltrow? She's the most lovely...She's not like a movie star, she's just like a normal person. She was so awesome to work with. She's so talented. She's singing a lot, like three numbers or something."

While Paltrow has only shot the one ep, Morrison says, "I think she'll come back maybe down the line."

Matt even thinks Gwyneth's character could make for a good love interest for Will.

Watch out, Emma Pillsbury!

Matthew Morrison: Gwyneth Paltrow Is ‘Amazing’ On ‘Glee’ | Access Hollywood

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Gwyneth Paltrow is getting rave reviews for her “Glee” work.

“She is such a joy to work with,” “Glee” star Matthew Morrison told Access Hollywood at the “Rocky Horror Picture Show” tribute in Los Angeles on Thursday. “She’s such a professional.”

According to Matthew, the actress – who has demonstrated her vocal skills in the past and will again in the upcoming movie “Country Strong” – can keep up with the show’s rigorous musicals demands.

“She’s an amazing singer and dancer that I was not aware of,” he explained.

He was also impressed with how down-to-earth the GOOP guru was.

“Most of all you never know what to expect when big movie stars like that come on the show and she was not a movie star, she was a normal person and such a joy,” he told Access. “I think she’s amazing.”

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Gwyneth will play a substitute who fills in for — and reportedly falls for — Matthew’s Will Schuester.

A Little Peeved with Gwyneth

I'm a bit peeved with Gwyneth. She was interviewed again on GAC's "On the Streets" show last night. They showed the "Country Strong" video in full and she talked a good bit about her character, Kelly Cantor. Said that as she was preparing for the role (a down and out country singer) she called Robert Downey, Jr. to find out about the life of an addict. They must be really good friends after doing the Iron Man movies.

Why I'm peeved is that she went into rhapsodies about the song "Me and Tennessee" on which she duets with Tim McGraw, who plays her husband/manager in the movie. She went on about how "wonderful" and "heartbreaking" the song is -- but did not mention that Chris wrote it.

Maybe that fits in with her not talking much about her marriage, but it seems that she could've given him some props -- Saying "The song's called 'Me and Tennessee' and my husband Chris wrote it" isn't exactly like talking about their private life.

I'll get over it, I'm sure. :)

The fact that she says the song is wonderful and heartbreaking means that she thinks that Chris did a good job, and by now it's common knowledge that he wrote. She probably does not want to brag about it too much, I would guess.

Gwyneth Paltrow Takes On Cee-Lo Hit For ‘Glee’

LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

Cee-Lo Green’s “F**k You” became an international hit online over the summer, and now the catchy tune is getting covered – by Gwyneth Paltrow on “Glee.”

A rep for the show confirmed to Access Hollywood on Wednesday that the Oscar-winner covers the song by the Atlanta crooner during her guest appearance as a substitute teacher on the FOX show.

Instead of singing “F**k You,” however, Gwyneth will sing “Forget You,” the rep noted.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Cory Monteith said Gwyneth also takes part in a major dance scene.

“We shot one of the best dance numbers ever!” Cory told Access Hollywood in late October. “It was amazing.”

Cory, who plays Finn Hudson on the show, said just being around the superstar was a thrill.

“I’m in like, the background or whatever, my name is not completely mud,” he laughed. “I’m just in the background. I’ll take it! I’m like dancing around with Gwyneth Paltrow!”

In addition to her appearance on “Glee,” Gwyneth is also set to make her live singing debut on the 44th annual Country Music Awards later this month. She also sings in her upcoming film “Country Strong,” starring Tim McGraw, Leighton Meester and “Tron Legacy’s” Garret Hedlund.” The film will be released on December 22.

A rep for “Glee” was not immediately available for comment when contacted by Access Hollywood.

Ha! I can't wait to see this. I love that song, lol.

Wow, I love the mash-up song they will be doing, can't wait... Thanks for the post.
