Random Coldplay thoughts...

Featured Replies

The other day I said something like, "I don't know his brothers and sisters." and it made me think of the song title.

And one of my classes at school ends at 1:26 everyday. It's close to 1:36.

  • I just wanted to say, after 5 years of being part of the Coldplay fandom, first on Coldplaying, now on Coldplaying, Twitter and other platforms, a wonderful thing happened today: Coldplay followed me

  • I ran away
    I ran away

On this day exactly 5 years ago, a young and innocent person who was just getting really into Coldplay wanted to sign up on a forum called Coldplaying. Faced with the question of what to pick as a use

  • Today exactly 5 years ago, I joined the Coldplaying community and I don't regret that that. To be honest, it's probably one of the best things that have happened in my life! I had never thought I woul

Gosh... I can't remember where it was, but recently I saw Albertus used for something or another.

Hmm.. My 18th birthday is coming up. I'm thinking of hinting at people to get me some Coldplay things I've really wanted. I havent got any of their Parachutes or AROBTTH singles so maybe someone can get me them if I ask nicely.

Lol I like all those Chris/Schroder pics!

The title of the cover story on last edition of Scientific American was in Albertus!!

 Am I a geek because I read science magazines ??

 Am I a geek because I read science magazines ??

No we aren't geeks... we're semi-geeks! :D

I subscribe to Sci-Am and I read a whole bunch of scientific journals like Pain, Journal of Neuroscience, Neuroscience, the Journal of Pain, British Journal of Pharmacology, etc.

But back to Coldplay...

I went to the Crash-B's this weekend (an international erging competition) and I was with my team Row New York. I couldn't erg cause of my accident, so I went as a coxswain. I walked in and sat down with my team when it hit me. A whole bunch of people from all over the world including Great Britain Rowing and I was wearing my Coldplay t-shirt and my sweatshirt that said England... :shocked2: I got some nice looks from the younger British rowers, but when I went to get some info on Boston University all the representatives asked me if I thought about being a transfer student... :D

now that i think about it, is that really a random coldplay thought? XD

^no, youre not. we're all geeks in our own way, and for some of us SEVERAL ways! (right now everyone's back into pokemon at my school and i spent all weekend playing it and conversing with my friends about it! which made me think of the chris quote in the rolling stone article: "pokemon was huge for a while, but that hasnt really lasted." oh, but it HAS, chris!)

...perhaps i shouldnt have admitted that. :lipsrsealed2: im in a very strange mood.

because of the song "the world turned upside down" i often think that a circle is 365 degrees rather than 360 degrees, like it actually is. thats screwed me over in calculus a few times! :dunce:

Haha! That happened in your school too?! I went down to the cafeteria a couple of weeks ago and all of a sudden yu-gi-oh cards and magic cards start flashing before my eyes... before i knew it i was dueling  I won though... :smug: And your world turned upside down came on just as i read your post... :shocked2:

Forgot to mention....

I was in drums class yesterday when my friend Roy started making fun of Coldplay again, he walked past me so I stuck out my foot, he tripped and my friend happened to kick her foot out at the opportune moment. Lets just say Roy was curled up on the floor holding a certain body part tightly...

not exactly what I planned, but it worked... ;)

I heard A Message yesterday in a restaurant. :uhoh: That makes no sense. :freak:

And, I'm slowly starting to not like Coldplay much at all. :( Wah...

I had a dream i was waiting in line for something with all of these famous people, and Chris happened to be in it! I was a bit upset when i woke up though :(

Apparently, Coldplay is mentioned in the new Guy Gavriel Kay book "Ysabel":

Similarly' date=' despite the assumptions of biogrphically-minded critics, Kay is adamant that having a 15-year-old protagonist in [i']Ysabel[/i] had nothing to do with having two teen boys of his own -- "though they were very useful in telling me what kind of music might be on Ned's iPod." (Led Zeppelin and Coldplay, as it turns out.)

Houston zoo has a new male lion with a lovely fluffy mane and his name is Jonathan. :smug:

This morning 'Clocks' came on the radio and I was like "Awww, oh my god!!" and I was so excited that I expeditious knocked over my glass ^^.

And, I'm slowly starting to not like Coldplay much at all. :( Wah...

You did not just say that.

What you have to do, don't listen to them for a month!! Then go outside or into your room w/ your mp3 player and listen to AROBTTH, beginning to end.

I just did that. And died. Again.

Today, I was listening to the radio and they were having a requests part, so I sent a text message to the station saying "Any coldplay song please.. its chris martins bday 2day :)" and they didn't play a Coldplay song at all!! But someone had requested Aerosmith's Don't Want to Miss a Thing so it's ok. BUT THEN I turned around and looked at the clock and it was 1:36! :D

And on Monday, in my first ever Uni lecture (Contemporary Society) the lecturer had a slide-show going throughout... and at one point he had "Society is ... an apple" with a pic of an apple and he was saying 'Now, when you think of an apple you might be thinking of a mushy apple, a green apple, a red apple, and apple computer' etc.. and the whole time I was thinking about Apple Martin!

one of my friends made the most ridiculous call the other day.

i can't remember if we were even talking about Coldplay, but he fully goes, "Chris Martin sings like a whale being chucked in a deep fryer!"

my response to this was:

:stunned:

:dozey:

it was weird because he followed up this statement with, "but i love Coldplay. i've got all their albums. i listen to them on a regular basis." which i followed up with, "shut up :nice:"

A friend of mine told me he hates when Chris tries to imitate Kylie in that cover.

And I said something like you, Claire :nice:

I forgot it was Chris' birthday until I was writing the date on my paper in English! :cheesy: And my friend knew too! She read it in the newspaper. And my mom read it in the paper too! She was like, "Oooh, Chris Martin turns 30 today! Aw :nice: That's your boo!"

LOL He is NOT my boo! :laugh3:

Well...

Yeah today I was like "Mom! It's Chris Martin's birthday!" and she asked me how old he was I said 30 and she said "Well he's a bit old for you I have to say...."

That Brazilian journalist who asked the too personal questions should be taken aside and instructed on manners.

Chris never likes to discuss Gwyneth and vice versa. And what kind of moron asks someone, a perfect stranger, what their favorite sexual positions are?

"Chris Martin sings like a whale being chucked in a deep fryer!"

My daughter, who's 25 and music snob of the first order, said pretty much the same thing yesterday and I said "Too bad. I LIKE Coldplay and at MY age (54) I don't have to care if other people like that or not!"

I just realized, with Coldplay being in South America it feels like they are ... away.

Which is weird, because when they are in England, they are away as well.

Two days ago, when I was at our local radio station (I'm working for our school radio), a friend asked if they could play The Scientist. And the guy who works there looked at the computer to see if the songs was stored, and it was. And to my huge surprise they even had Crests of Waves. I was stunned!

I WENT TO UPLOAD A NEW COLDPLAY VIDEO ON YOUTUBE AND WHEN I GOT THERE MY ACCOUNT WAS DELETED!!!

:cry::cry::cry:

so i couldnt come here on chris's birthday, which made me sad, but it was the opening night of the play at my school and im the tech/crew director. i wore my coldplay shirt and my adidas and black cargo pants though! anyway, its a tradition for the show's director to give all the crew members matching hats for each performance, like last year we got police hats, etc. so this year we get ready to start the show and our director gives us....

JONNY BUCKLAND HATS!!! like the one he wore for a good part of the X&Y tour!!! and chris has one like it as well! it made me so happy and was so fitting because it was chris's birthday!!

it's black like jonny's, but it has red and grey argile on one side, but thats ok. and its slightly too small for my head and when i get it to work it looks pretty emo and terrible, but I DONT CARE, I GOT A COLDPLAY HAT ON CHRIS'S BIRTHDAY!

yeah, im a bit insane. lack of sleep. 7 shows in a week.

^That's so cool! :D

Well, my mom has Fix You stuck in her head. She's been singing it all day- it's her favorite Coldplay song. :D OH! And she has a thing for Chris! :wink3: hahaha
