hmm...

I just wanna know what Debs meant when she said that it's not happening. Is she talking about the release date, or the release itself. Because, the topic was about an October release date, not a DVD in general. So I'm confused now. It's weird because she closed the topic down...so I don't know.

Coldplay would OBVIOUSLY know that their fans would be ANGRY with no DVD release...so it boggles me!

We just all have to wait..and then when it comes around, we'll know if it's coming out or not.

Why go to the trouble of fan-cam contests, announcements etc. Unless they thought the footage was that crap they decided it wasn't good enough for a full DVD (there were two shows remember). I can't see them going to all this trouble and then pull the plug without a proper annoucement. Where is the mailout? The information on the official site wasn't all that clear at first.

the only thing i don't understand why did they announce this DVD months ago...pretty precipitous if you ask me

on the other hand, i don't care about it. who gives a shit about DVD, it would be boring anyway. i'm not interested in any "backstage fun" or stuff like that

that footage will be broadcast anyway, so i wouldn't panic at all. so, at least we don't have to pay money and increase Coldplay's and EMI's wages

U2's show at Slane Castle from 9/1/2001, released later as "Go Home" aired in Mexico (Telehit) more than 1 year before the release of the actual DVD. Same thing should happen with Coldplay.

Also 1 hour of "Vertigo 2005 Live from Chicago" aired on HBO Latin America, maybe Coldplay will air a part of the Toronto shows just to make people link the show and later buy the DVD. I guess that makes more sense...

Same with the last 2 stereophonics dvds, both had preview screenings on channel 4 (true it was just the live concert, not the full dvd, buy LSVO DVD, do it now).

Yes, that pisses me off too. If you arent going to relase something then dont get the crowd excited. Its just nonsense to me. I believe that they might want to see how popular it becomes of it is a good idea by making it a televised event. Then release it. I dunno, its just my reasoning. :D

Let's stop talking about this and let the time decide if they're gonna made the dvd

Have you seen the thread at the top of this page ?I'm unsure why you're celebrating a release date of something that's not happening you see. Anyway, sorry guys if you've missed it here, in other threads, news and Q&A but..... there's no DVD.

"There's no DVD" directly from Debs Wild just does not leave hardly a sliver of hope that there will ever be one, IMO. Also, other people on the Coldplay forum have posted that they have PM'd Debs asking for an explanation, and her reply has been that a corporation does not have to give a reason for changing its mind.

I'm sorry, but, why are you guys not believing what Debs herself posted?

did I sneeze?

no..you just stayed positive,

oh..i remembered something..i've got radiohead's dvd like last week,it's from ok computer tour (1997-1999) and i find a striking similarity to coldplay's from 2003. so much same details, it's unbelivable.

not really cool if you ask me. but i understand.

i like live 2003 very much and i'm too attached to it.

me too whenever there is nothing on tv (which seems to be alot latey) i put on live 2003 its like attached to my hip

Oh please! Tons of concerts are televised before they're released on DVD! I know that the last two Kylie Minogue tours were aired on TV way before any DVD release...and even before the footage was completely edited. I don't see anywhere where it says there will be no DVD...and several times (several, several, several, several times) Debs has mentioned a DVD throught the Q&A section. It was one of the biggest selling tours of 2005 AND 2006. Millions of people have seen them live. It's not like it was a small scale tour or anything. It was massive. Don't worry. There will be one! I promise.

Don't make promises you can't keep!

I'm happy to live in denial! lol
