the_gloaming09
The National Plan High Violet Expanded Edition Earlier this year, Brooklyn brooders the National released their album High Violet, which debuted in Billboard's top five and scored a BNM from us. As a victory lap, the National will take theirs on November 22, when 4AD will release a two-disc expanded edition of High Violet. The new edition of the album will feature the original LP on one disc, and another disc with eight bonus tracks-- unreleased songs (like "You Were a Kindness"), live tracks, B-sides, and an alternate version of "Terrible Love". We've got the tracklist below. Also on November 22, the National will release the "Terrible Love" 7" on 4AD. "You Were a Kindness" will be the B-side. And in other National news, tonight in Madison, Wisconsin, the band will play a rally in support of President Obama at the University of Wisconsin, as the 4AD website reports. High Violet Expanded Edition: CD1: 01 Terrible Love 02 Sorrow 03 Anyone's Ghost 04 Little Faith 05 Afraid of Everyone 06 Bloodbuzz Ohio 07 Lemonworld 08 Runaway 09 Conversation 16 10 England 11 Vanderlyle Crybaby Geeks CD2: 01 Terrible Love (Alternate Version) 02 Wake Up Your Saints 03 You Were a Kindness 04 Walk Off 05 Sin-Eaters 06 Bloodbuzz Ohio (Live on The Current) 07 Anyone's Ghost (Live at Brooklyn Academy of Music) 08 England (Live at Brooklyn Academy of Music) http://pitchfork.com/news/40197-the-national-plan-ihigh-violeti-expanded-edition/

MrMagpie
My main issue with it is this: the bonus songs are usually tracks that only true fans are going to care about. And chances are true fans have already purchased the album. It's kind of arrogant to think all your fans will buy your album twice.
Alice
^ You're right. This is still a very good news. New songs from them = :D !

Usually I'd be able to go with a parent but this venue has stupid rules... I'll just hope for a wellington show :(
fietssleutel
^ Aw, that sucks. I don't really see why venues need to have an age limit anyway. You Were A Kindness was the new song they played at the show I attended! Excited to hear a studio version! :D

Instead I decided to just buy the songs I didn't have off iTunes, so I'll do the same here (so long as the album isn't Album Only)
