The National

Featured Replies

I'm going to say this for the last time. I AM REALLY FUCKING PISSED OFF BECAUSE THE NATIONAL ARE PLAYING 3 FUCKING SHOWS AT A VERY SMALL, STRICTLY R18 VENUE. IN NEW ZEALAND. HOW OFTEN DO THE NATIONAL COME TO NEW ZEALAND? NOT FUCKING OFTEN.

Usually there's a way to get into those  Like try to get an exception or something. I guess strictly means strictly.

The National didn't come to Adelaide did they? Cuz if they did, I'm gonna have to do a Bryan and kill someone.

Crankin' Abel at the moment. Such a good song.

^^

not too sure about adelaide. check their website

Abel sounded amazing live. actually i would say Lit Up, Abel and Mr November were the 3 best songs of the night.

i should really get to bed!

Yeah, usually. Most of the bars around that area are fine with having under 18's (as long as they're with a parent) but this venue has a special license. It's illegal for anyone under 18 to be on their property :blank:

But the problem is, that's where most of the smaller international bands go... The National, Animal Collective, MGMT, The Dead Weather...

And the fact that The National will be in New Zealand and I won't be seeing them kinda sucks :P

GROW UP!

Like, literally...grow up, and then go anywhere you want. :P Even strip clubs!

I suggest Cartman's foolproof 'freeze yourself and wake up in the future' idea.

Yeah, that does suck :\ Bars around here have the same policy with a parent or guardian.

GROW UP!

Best option right here!

So, birthday money gonna be put to good use next week? I think so :bigcry:  :bigcry:

Tulsa! :freak:

So close...and yet, so far away. :bigcry:

how far away is it from you?

it's ~3 for me

According to Google Maps, no matter which route I take, it'll be at least 6 1/2 hours. :bigcry:

You don't understand. Oklahoma is right next to Texas. Do you know how bad it is when you're having to travel 6 1/2 to 7 hours to go not to a different country, but to a city in the state that sits right next to yours? DO YOU?

6 hours for a concert is a lot, actually

For me six hours is pretty average. And I live in a tiny, tiny country. :blank:

:blank: you people... :blank:

BY THE WAY I'M SEEING THE NATIONAL FOR THE FOURTH TIME IN TWO WEEKS. :bomb:

They are playing in my town, so I could go stalk them. :')
