This is awesome news, so how long,roughly will it take to mix this album ?, any guess's?. Hopefully it will be released around Feb/ March.

Looks like "Lost!" and "Famous Old Painters" are confirmed as being on the album?

OMG what on Earth is this album going to sound like - recording in churches in Barcelona, Latin influences, a brass band, I can't wait!!! This is going to absolutely kick ass.

Is it a pun? "Prospekt's March" hinting that either the month of March is going to be a big one for Prospekt and the band (i.e. the album may be released then) or progress on the album 'Prospekt' (if that is the title) is going to 'march forward??' So many possibilities.... They always seem to satisfy our curiosity with a statement that begs ten more new questions. come on guuyyysss!!!

I can hardly imagine the pressure on their shoulders, but they have my full support.

there were alot of words in the update i didnt understand....but glad to hear that the guys are making moves.....and that they are in my area....that means im off to downtown manhattan to have a closer look at them.....lol

These Prospekt entries make me go crazy!

It's surely 'Prospekt's march'. in other words 'the progress of Prospekt'. 'March' here it means 'progress' in my opinion. They are mixing the second part of the album (in fact, the progress is the situation after the first mixing part, started one month ago...se the former post on the official site). So it's 'Prospekt's progress'...the album is closer than what we could suppose...WOWOWOWOW!

It will be a supermegaspecial album!

Lol: And Chris just keeps on writing... he's shown me five new songs in the last two days. I seriously don't know when he sleeps. :laugh3::laugh3:

I can't be good that Chris keeps writing at this stage. What if they pull an X&Y and decide to scrap all existing songs?!

 

I also find it funny that with most bands as big as Coldplay a big deal is made about the budget and how it either limits or aids what they are trying to achieve, however it seems as though they must have an unlimited amount of money/time to put into this project.

i had a feeling following me around all day today that there's something new on the website from the moment i woke up, but then i had to go to work all day and didnt have time to check! yes, im a freak, but i was RIGHT!

 

but gaaaaaah, it sounds to me like this is going to take longer than i expected. im not that hopeful for march/april anymore, i dont think. i alternate between thinking thats fine, i want the best album possible, and being so impatient i want to tear my hair out.

if theyre still recording and if chris is writing new songs all the time, i doubt THEY have a cocnrete release date in mind, either. but it all sounds so freaking amazing i just want to have it RIGHT NOW. im half considering bopping over to manhattan right now and tracking them down. i can be there in an hour if anyone wants to join :laugh1: :P

anyone tracked down the Brooklyn-based "colliery brass band" specialising in Northern English orchestra? There can't be that many?! :thinking:

Brass Band?Didnt Chris mention a while back on that live recording of "The Water Flows Over" better known as "Solid Ground" that they would use a Big Brass band when they record it? Famous Old Painters is probably a completly different song but it looks like Chris gets to use the Big Brass bad after all!!This is all very exciting!!Hey shouldnt we expect a Christmas message of some sort soon too??

Oh my God I got a sudden instinct to look on coldplay.com and there it was!

Its no release date, but these messages just keep getting more exciting, I think its because theyre talking about particular songs now and how they sound...

 

And Prospect's March? What could that possibly mean? So much to think about... oh my goodness
