Aww....psh, parents and Radiohead never mesh anyway. Yeah...haha, I wish I had a record player :P
December 13, 200718 yr My parents never heard a whole song of radiohead,, and theyre still saying its terrible music. *sigh* they dont even try to listen to it :\
December 13, 200718 yr My Mam loves them and my Dad likes them a bit too. She's listened to Pablo Honey, The Bends and OK Computer loads - knows nearly all of the words for gods sake. 'Let Down' is one of her favorites.
December 13, 200718 yr Dunno if you guys already noticed but if you put ur cd in the pc and open it YOU WILL SEE RADIOHEAD PICTURES AND ARTWORK!! THEY ARE SO COOL!!! :D:D
December 13, 200718 yr my discbox came yesterday!!! i cant stop looking at it. the artwork is AMAZING...like glowing-neon jackson pollock on CRACK. its almost celestial, like they could be mistaken for hubble space telescope images. and i love how they portrayed the lyrics...i just love the entire thing. the vinyl hasnt left my record player! question: does anybody else think "MK1" is like the tape loop or whatever that they used in "videotape"? because i swear it is.
December 13, 200718 yr ^Yeah there are definitely definitely parts of Videotape in it, I noticed that today listening to it on my dad's awesome stereo
December 14, 200718 yr ^ Well it seemed quite obvious to me as I was listening to the first seconds. Of course it's a Videotape reprise. I was surprised and happy when I recognized that the keyboard chord at the beginning of 4MW was the one heard in the webcast. About parents, my Mom keeps asking how I can listen to such horrible music. My Dad used to love Radiohead (he had quite exactly the same taste in music as me). and... I'm the particularly happy owner of A TICKET TO RADIOHEAD IN PARIS-BERCY, JUNE 10TH !
December 14, 200718 yr 4 minute warning is my new love. my mom appreciates them, but thinks all their stuff kinda sounds the same. which i think is perfectly absurd. my dad has no idea who they are, but asked about the discbox when it showed up at my house and i gave him a nutshell version of the story behind in rainbows. i said the discbox cost me $40, which he thought was ridiculously expensive and not worth it, so i neglected to tell him that it was actually 40 POUNDS, meaning about 80 USD. i think he would have blown his top if he knew that.

December 16, 200718 yr ^yeahhhhh, he really doesnt get my obsession with music  i severely misjudged the bonus disc when i first listened to it, and i really really liked it then!! now i can hardly listen to anything else. theyre incredible on every front. and the "readme" included on the CD cracks me up.
December 16, 200718 yr oh its just radiohead being radiohead :) it refers to the artwork and the photos on the CDs this CD contains some photos and some pictures. the photos are by jonny & colin. the ones with an SK in the filename are by steve keros. the pictures are by donwood & tchock. all of them were taken/made during the making of this record. here are a few suggestions of what to do with them: 1. use them as a screensaver. 2. make a slideshow of the photos or pictures. play the record at the same time. ?. 3. print them out massive, frame them and hang them above your bed. 4. admire the dynamic artistes at work, as they plunge flailing into middle age. 5. attempt to trace the arguably bizarre trajectory of donwood and tchock as they begin by doing urban landscapes and end up with work that even they cannot describe. 6. adapt or alter to your liking. it's extraordinary what you can do with photoshop. or even scissors and glue. 7. turn an old tshirt inside-out. print something out on that iron-on transfer stuff and stick it on the tshirt. 8. actually thinking about it, just type 'inkjet media' into a search engine and see what the possibilities are. 9. for instance, you can print onto thin magnetic sheet and then stick it onto a vehicle or a fridge or something. 10. try to work out which photos we edited out, and why. bye but its in their strange typing style with omitted spaces. for some reason it wont let me keep that in here.
December 17, 200718 yr i do too :D i've been having some fun with photoshop lately per their suggestion. my new avatar is the lamest of my efforts, i must admit :P
December 17, 200718 yr ^haha, thanks! i've kind of always had a strange attraction to those houses, even before i got into radiohead. i saw them on a friend's t-shirt and i thought they were really cool and interesting. now that i have a whole CD of artwork using them i'm quite happy. but i thought they needed a litttle dressing up for christmas :D
December 19, 200718 yr Umm... the discbox is amazing. I finally got home from college so I opened up my discbox as soon as I arrived. I didn't listen to Disc 2 until this morning though. All these songs are outstanding; I wish they would have made In Rainbows an epic 16 track album with all of these songs on it (except MK 1 & 2, because they're just snippets).
December 19, 200718 yr They could've : total duration is shorter than 80 min. MK2 sounds good between Go Slowly and Last Flowers to me.
December 22, 200718 yr I was shocked to see that our local CD store was already selling the 'normal' digipack release of In Rainbows. So obviously I grabbed my chance and bought one. Wicked :D
