What's even better is how Heath Ledger's playing the Joker. One of my favorite actors, and it will be very interesting seeing him in this role.

I'm so ridiculously excited about this, I love what Nolan et al did with Begins and this looks like it just as good if not better. :)

I agree... Batman Begins is the best Batman film to date.

The brother just went to the theater and bought our midnight showtime tickets. Can't wait to see how fantastic Heath Ledger portrays the Joker :)

Yes, I've been waiting for this movie since it was announced! Huge Batman fan! :D I don't know if I'm going to a midnight showing but I'll be watching it tomorrow for sure! :D I can't wait to watch it! :D

I am so excited about this film, it's not even funny. I think I'll see it Sunday, not sure though.

I must say that I didn't have any big expectations but it's a really good movie in my opinion.. not the best one that I've ever watched but it's pretty good

Just got back from the midnight showing. The movie was awesome! It wasn't all just hype - Heath Ledger really did a phenomenal job as the psychomaniacal Joker! Christian Bale great as usual lol And I totally want his Batpod/bike!

 

Good action, good acting. Definitely must see! :D

I watched it on Wednesday since it came out here in Australia early :D It's such a great film! If you're a Batman fan you'll be sure to love it. Heath Ledger and Christian Bale are fantastic! Their characters are so well portrayed and it's captivating from start to end. It's also 3 hours long but definitely worth it :D

How is/was the mood there in Oz about the movie, especially since Heath is from there?

When anyone from Australia makes it big in Hollywood, you can almost always guarantee the entire country is backing them up. There wasn't an exception with Heath :D Let's just say I'm on my uni break so have been catching every movie I could possible watch before the semester begins and of all the movies coming out, The Dark Knight is by far the most anticipated and talked about movie this year! All sessions were sold out the day it opened and continues to be. We're talking all screenings sold out by 9am in the morning! We all loved Heath and you can just tell, well at least I could just sitting in the cinema, an incredible amount of support for the movie, mainly due to Heath of course but the movie did live up to its expectation and came into it's own in the end :) Heck, he was so convincing as the Joker I totally forgot about Ledger lol, like he was that good! That's academy award winning stuff imo.

Heath won the Oscar. The film certainly deserves Oscar nods in its own right. An instant masterpiece.

I agree. He is the Joker. I knew it was heath, but you totally forget about it while watching the movie. Totally deserving of an Oscar!
