The Dark Knight

I saw it at the IMAX the week it came out. Was really impressed with Heath, but Christian Bale as Batman was pretty awful.

whys that. and please dont answer the voice, because batman has to do that to hide who he is.

Well I understand about the voice having to be different from Bruce's real one, it makes sense why he has to. I was just saying how more pronounced it was to me this time around because that reviewer pointed it out. I didn't even remember whether his voice was like that in BB because I wasn't paying attention to it.

lol the voice WAS annoying. The main reason I didn't like him as batman was he was just flat for me and not very memorable at all, and the fact that he was casted next to Heath didn't help him. Overall the casting was good, I think...and I did like the movie, just a weak batman.

everyone has the right to there own opinion, no one is better than the other, we just disagree, i thought he was a great batman, very menacing. Its hard to compare his performance to heath's though, the joker character and his amazing portrayl will always be hard to top. I dont think anyone could have outperformed heath in the movie. But all in all everyone pretty much agrees that the movie was amazing and I cant wait to see what they come up with for the third one.

I'M GOING TO SEE IT IN 3 HOURS AND 20 MINUTES.....WAAAAAAAAAAY!

I know he has to disguise his voice and all, but wow, that voice sounds like something a chain-smoking middle-aged hooker would emit.

Overall excellence as usual from Bale, though.

I'VE JUST COME BACK AND IT IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, ONE OF THE BEST FILMS I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW! WOW! WOW! WOW!

It a was a very enjoyable movie, just for Batman I wasn't so impressed with partly because of the shoes he had to fill...the rest of the cast (bar the Joker, and I was impressed with Gary Oldman) was decent, predictable for this kind of film, but I had no problems with how they acted.

so many people seem to crave to see it again after seeing it once! :D

and i am one of thise people, ever since i left the cinema i have desperately wanted to see it again! i think i am going to do so sometime this week, or next week if not. batmans voice does make me laugh admittedly, christian bale didnt really excite me as batman, seemed bit flat and lacked something. but i did enjoy batman when he had scenes with the joker. good scenes.

^ agreed.

I saw it for the first time on the day it was released,

then the torrent I'm downloading of it was going so slow, I went to see it again the other day, Mainly because of heath ledgers joker, that blew me away.

I have a few minor complaints:

1. Over censorship of violence and blood (but I suppose they had to, to make it 12A)

2. How did Twoface speak with such good enunciation... I mean... how could he make "b" and "p" sounds etc.

3. The ferry scene annoyed me because of the game theory oversight (I won't go into it) in favour of some populist Socratic belief that people will invariably choose "good" over "evil" with no incentive beyond itself.

Not quite strong enough to make my top 10, but Dark Knight was thoroughly entertaining throughout. 9/10

I just got back from seeing it. Very, very good!

I found the ending to be a bit confusing..... and Dent's character kinda diminishing....

Heath Ledger's Joker was absolutely AMAZING. Totally stole the film from Bale's batman, who paled in comparison.

but yeah. Excellent film

I also think Ledger made this movie

I'm not just saying that because of his untimely death, but without him as the Joker this movie would have just been another OTT special effects extravaganza.

It was by far one of the best movies I've seen, kept me captivated for the whole 3 hours and I usually get pretty restless.

It flew past and stole the show from Batman Begins.

Also - Maggie rules, Katie sucks :P

lol

:D

I just saw it again, but this time in IMAX! Just as entertaining as the first time...there is a great deal of fun word play to pick up on if you didn't catch it all the first time :)

Even after having it pointed out to me, Christian Bale's batman voice doesn't bother me. I rather like it. I guess I am an oddball.

Despite Heath's amazing performance, I believe it was the writing and directing that made this film what it is. So many great acting performances can happen only when there is near-perfect script.

I saw it on Monday, and was thoroughly entertained but ultimately pretty disappointed. 9/10 as a way to pass time, and 7/10 as a Batman film - others have been better I think (including Batman Begins). And why this is rated 12 I cannot begin to imagine...

^if this movie disappointed you then im guessing your gonna be disappointed by alot of movies you see. Some of the scenes(semi truck chase) and heath ledgers performance is some of the best things put to film in history imo. explain alittle why you were disappointed because i couldnt find anything that disappointed me other then it ended.lol

batman has to talk like this because everyone knows what bruce wayne sounds like, so if he was to just go around talking like bruce wayne it really wouldnt keep his identity a secret would it. It all goes back to these two movies trying to be more realistic. Forget about the other batman movies, Begins and tdk are totally different. Oh and i saw the movie in the imax theatre twice yesterday. AMAZING, EPIC. are the only words to describe it. If you havent seen this on imax you need to just for the chase seen where the truck flips. amazing. How bout a magic trick?

It wasn't annoying me but it was really funny to me though. Now when I talk.. I talk like that now hahaha

Seen it 3 times:dozey:

Just as good as the first time, it never gets old. But the more you see it, the more little things you catch. The first time I was baffled by all the plot lines with the mob and the money, but I get it all completely by now.;)

OH GOD....IT IS AMAZING, I CAN NOT EXPLAIN NOW AMAZINGLY BRILLAINT IT IS, EVERYONE IN THE WORLD HAS TO SEE THIS FILM, EVEN PEOPLE NOT INTO BATMAN, BECAUSE I'M NOT REALLY INTO BATMAN!...IT'S GOT SOOO MANY DIFFERENT THINGS, IT'S NOT JUST ABOUT BATMAN, IT'S ABOUT THE CITY ASWELL, AND THE POLICE AND HARVEY AND EVERYONE....AMAZING!

Do you really have to 'shout'?

lol I know it hurts my ears just reading it.

Do you really have to 'shout'?

YES BECAUSE IT IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO AMAZING, sorry, I'll stop now :D
