My dad's church gives a lot to charities in Africa and India to pay for kids to eat and have clothes, but thats probably evil, right?

Well I can't vouge for everything, and the vatican is more of a government than a religion anyhow. I refer mostly to typical medium-small sized churches that populate the vast majority of the united states.

The majority of church's do good and send money to the poor. The Vatican is just corruption, if you read the bible you'd wonder if anyone in the Vatican ever did. All the money they waste there could go to feeding a lot of the world's poor, Jesus told the rich to sell their houses and feed the poor, not store it in a city or church like the Vatican does.
