Mark, I was surprised when you said that you don't have your tickets yet, but made a little search around the web... and does that actually mean nobody has got their tickets in printed form??

Is that normal in the UK that you don't get the tickets sent immediately after buying?

I haven't been to many concerts... so I always thought it works the way that they will be sent to you straight after buying.

Is there a reason for that?

I mean, you already know where the seats are - why do the promoters not print the tickets??

Hopefully these questions are not too stupid, but I am very curious!!

Thanks a lot in advance for any reply...

Not these online companies for London tickets (and other places?) I think it's to make it harder to sell them on ebay. Fair enough, but it troubles true fans, and the sites like ticketmaster and all the others are all scams of a kind themselves anyway.

I hate that they send these tickets so late. It gets on my nerves so much.

I got my Birmingham ticket early so why not the same for the O2?

Are you going the same night as Sandi, Kara? She'd love to see you I'm sure :)

gigsandtours advise that you may not receive your tickets until the week before the gig.

I'd ask Ian where he got them from, but my last lot of Take That tickets turned up about 3/4 days before the gig (he would have ordered/paid for them about 4/5 months before), which didn't do my stress levels any good.

Thanks for your replies!

Yes, it really is harder to sell them on ebay this way...

But even if you want to go yourself - I'd never trust the mail service. Because of a G8 summit last year I couldn't go to a concert (they controlled every single letter and this caused delays).

I'll see Coldplay on Dec 14th!! (Thanks to Mark!!)

This late ticket thing is really worrying me too. I chose to go to both Paris gigs because I didn't think I could wait until December to see them but then, when I got home and was feeling depressed and a friend was too I decided to book us one of those ticket+hotel room deals for the last London night, not a very high priced one but more than normal of course.

Now, if the tickets are not sent out until just before the gig ( with all the other Christmas post) first via the ticket agency in the midlands, then to me in Cornwall I'm scared stiff I'll have to leave Cornwall before my ticket arrives. As everone says, all the other venues send their tickets out weeks before, why single out O2?

Or why do not do the E mail ticket thing, one of the nights in Paris was like that and you can just print out your own ticket, show ID at the gate if necessary and it was so easy.

very special tickets....

Ive seen some tickets on a charity auction site tht are awesome! They are for the london O2 gigs and they are real VIP tickets, so you get extra special Acces, signed stuff, meet and greet with the band, backstage and so on.....sounds so good! wish i had bought them first!

That's great news. I was dreading being up in London with my tickets on my doormat here in Cornwall!!

Mind you I still don't know who Iim going with, my friend is ill and might not be well enough in time, my sister is otherwise engaged, I might have to drag along my son who hates Coldplay. I know I could get rid of the other ticket easily enough but it's one of those hotel/ticket packages as I left it late buying a ticket (well September)

Hi there - I'm a Norwegian Coldplay fan, and some days ago I booked a flight to London just to say hi to some friends there before Christmas. I was just planning on socialising and shopping a bit, but suddenly I realised that there's a concert on the Tuesday I'm there, and I'd just love to catch it - I've seen them live twice before (amazing) but didn't have the chance to attend their September gig in Oslo because of work. But I don't have a ticket, since this came up just now... and the ones that are sold on eBay are just so expensive that I can't really afford them (£230-250 for a pair). Does anybody know of anybody who wants to sell a ticket, or preferably two, to a fellow fan - for the gig on Tue 16th? Or does anybody have any idea if Ticketmaster will list any more tickets?

hello I'm looking for 1 ticket for Coldplays concert at the 02 on any 3 of the dates. As unfortunately I was away when tickets went on sale and do not want to surcome to touts and ebay

I am able to pay when ever.

I have one spare ticket for Sunday, 14th at the O2.

Good seat, to side of stage.

Any good to you?

I also have a double room available at nearby Travelodge room for the weekend 13th to 15th. This is booked for two people. Absolute bargain at £70 inclusive.

See UK eBay auction number 110318421896

In addition, I can offer one female shared accommodation at De Veres hotel for that weekend too.

Any interests, please PM me. Happy to answer any questions.

I'll log in regularly.

Hope the above can help someone out. :)

Hey guys, does anybody know what time roughly the gig will finish (and possibly start as well)? Cos i will be taking the train there and back and wanna make sure I can get on the last train back (which is around 23:30pm)

Thanks

I hate to deliver bad news, but have you not heard about what a nightmare it is getting out and away from the o2? I would say you have next to no chance of getting that last train unless you leave the gig early as the band won't come on until at least 9 and they will play a minimum set of 1hr 40 mins. As you can imagine with 20,000 odd people wanting to leave at the same time, there is a bit of a queue to get out. The problems really begin though when you get to North Greenwich tube station and they only have a couple of ticket barriers open to control crowd numbers on the platforms. This is like pulling teeth, my girlfriend and I were queueing for an hour when we went to see Snow Patrol there when the o2 first opened. Other gigs i've been to there since haven't been quite as bad, but I think you will still be pushing it... and what if you need to take a pee?!

Is North Greenwich tube station still closed?? It was the last time I was in London.
