Sure Chelsea can win games 4-0 and such as proved but it doesn't take just one player to change the whole club. Torres on the whole has been pretty dire for Liverpool so far this season and it certainly is showing in the table. We'd no doubt be higher if we had a striker who was hard working, committed... like Suarez or a Carroll ;) . But still £50m for a player who hasn't reached the heights for nearly two years ain't a half bad deal. It's not like he has a problem with Liverpool only. He was abysmal at the World Cup with Spain. No. Suarez and Carroll are fantastic signings and make up for the pairing of David N'Gog who despite his efforts isn't good enough for the PL let alone Liverpool and a player who simply has played well below his ability for us. The passion clearly wasn't there for him so he had to be sold. It's such a bitter episode produced by Torres though. That's what makes it very hard and unforgivable. Still a transfer deadline day(s) I'll never forget. I've sent and recieved nearly 20 texts today about the rumours of who's in and who's in! Frantic as hell!
