I don't understand why footballers go out of their way to pledge allegiance to their club, because fans of that club will always go so OTT when one little sentence contradicts the footballers actions.

 

Anyway, I don't see how Torres would even fit in at Chelsea. I'd imagine hearing the news that Torres wants to leave is just as disappointing, as it is exciting to hear the signing of Suarez has actually gone through- I just had this feeling that it would fizzle out to nothing. It's potentially a huge partnership.

Torres said a few days back that he was looking forward to the rest of the season in helping Liverpool recover their year. And now he does this? True we shouldn't trust footballers these days in what they say but they only make themselves look like utter ****s of human beings by saying these things and then doing something the total opposite.

Werder are pretty screwed, 16th in Bundesliga, three points ahead of 17th placed Koln. However, there are only 4 points between them and the team in 9th place and two other teams are on 22 points with them. Surely they're too decent to go down.

They were a much, much better side today though, the first half especially as they should've scored twice. The own goal wasn't Per's fault. Silvestre was useless the whole game and the ball should've been cleared long before that. The 3rd goal was just luck, and then there was the indisputable bayern handball in the box that should've been called.

Bremen definitely were the better side but they didn't put that to use. That own goal wasn't Per's fault at all he was just being a defender and yeah Silvestre is sometimes good but not today, don't they have another defender they could've used? That ref was too busy handing out free yellow cards.

Mainz had an amazing start to the season but they've somewhat slowed down. They've lost four of their last 6 games before todays tie with Kaiserslautern, which can only be good news to Werder.

So we have bought another striker-Pazzini, Biabiany going as part of the deal and €12m seems a good deal to get him to me.

 

Apparantly Muntari is going to Sunderland on loan too.

Yeah, they've really fizzled out. Werder's next five fixtures are with all the top teams minus Dortmund, but the second leg just began, so that doesn't really mean much.
