Wage bill of £170 Million which will most likely get bigger and bigger as more of the overpaid "stars" come to City looking for £200K+ a week. They will soon hike the prices of tickets up to get some money back.

November 20, 201114 yr What a win for Liverpool! Great game of football! Glen Johnson - was slated the whole game for too much loose defensive play then he turns up with that! Edit: Just like to add that this one is for liverpool's goalkeeper Brad Jones, his family and his 4 year old son Luca who passed away after a battle with leukaemia a few days ago. No that didn't answer my question, and also I didn't miss that story, I was asking you to provide some form of reference as to how City are being kicked out of Europe, that link doesn't provide that at all. What I've read since City posted their recent losses is that Platini has been out of his depth on how he can punish a team that don't meet FFP, and its not looking like all they may just have to fine the team. And the point of that would be? Realistically if they do have until 2014 and if they do have to start taking this more seriously, there is plenty of dead weight at City that they would be able to sell, they may have to pay some of the wage demands but they can easily get some book balancers in within a season, nevermind 2 or 3, to work out how to recoup those fees. Their wages are huge, but not in another world compared to Chelsea (Though they are technically also under the same pressure from UEFA) or Arsenal, or Man United.

People are spening more money on Sky than ever before ,this is one of the few pleasure they can get and its at home people spend mroe time now as they can not afford to go out.. a months subsribtion to sky costs less than a night out...
November 20, 201114 yr The real reason is that ESPN are beginning to take over the market, they may be far away right now but ask any Liverpool fan who is limited to Sky about how they rarely see their own team play on TV anymore (Not a great example to bring this up today, but generally, yes).

November 22, 201114 yr Man City may be ruling the roost in the Premier League, but my word, they are probably the most clueless looking English side to have competed in the Champions League yet. All that money and all those players and they look a complete joke! Either they are underrating their opponents in Europe or their fellow English clubs in the Premier League are overrating them in England. I certainly get the feeling that a lot of teams have been a bit kind to them in the Premier League so far.

November 23, 201114 yr Inter and Chelsea are two big teams in desperate need of an overhaul of their squad. For Chelsea it's about time they gave up the Cech, Terry, Lampard and Drogba spine. 7 years is a long time for one team to be structured around one set of players. It's going to take Villas Boas time to knock down and rebuild that team but he should be given it because I think he will turn out to be a great manager.
