hmm, that looked like a PEN to me

FT 2-1

heaven knows who's just been sent off. Valdes?

I think this is about as pointless of a Classico as there can be, they have the title whatever happens, Mourinho's not even playing Ronaldo. It hasn't been a badly fought game so far but certainly not an intense pace, and if either team goes into 5th gear or it heats up, you know either manager will want it to calm down.

It definitely heated up, but you're right, I was surprised my the omission of Ozil and Ronaldo, which perhaps makes it that much more disappointing for Barcelona. All credit though, across midfield they looked much better than in the copa or against AC Milan, and I think they should've been given the late penalty. David Villa was quite useless with the ball at his feet along the wing.

Its definately a weird afternoon of football, Portsmouth have just won

Won't stop the drop down to league 2 though

The FA will change the goal-posts once more, probably making them start League 2 in May with minus 30 points or something stupid

2 goals in 2mins (Bale 38 and Lennon 39, ish) and Arsenals defence is just pushing way too high, on top of being useless. Spurs also were pushing high early on and after a few slight warning signs have held it back a bit further, but Lennons goal in particular was too easy.

I think Spurs have learned from previously where Arsenal closed down Bale effectively, and have pushed him further up field, the only problem with that is you're relying on the rest of the midfield to do what Bale normally does, and they've been pretty good, Parker in particular. Now they're 2 up I'd expect Bale to drop back a bit in the 2nd half.

Near identical goals for spurs. Second culminated in an intimate drunk stranger hug. Arse back line looking very 2012.

It should be a Mertesacker goal but because of replays they can see it wasn't going towards goal off of him, so they'll give it to Bale. They talk about how goal line technology couldn't be applied because it needs to be feasable to work from the Premier League to the lowest leagues, yet dubious goals committee don't mind taking away goals from players that would stand in a stadium without cameras. I think if you flick it in the general direction it should be yours.

Clattenburg looked so proud of himself when he told off Dawson and started nodding his head, I thought he was gonna shout WHO DA MAN?!

Premier League‏@premierleague

In the final 10 minutes of #BPL matches this season, Arsenal have scored 10 times, Spurs have scored twice.

Whats the stat in Arsenal scoring in the last 6 minutes.

You have to wonder how patient the board can be, considering Wenger is now completely resting on his reputation. It's not even that the quality around them has suddenly gone up in the past 2 or 3 seasons, it's that their squad is undoubtedly worse.

There were a lot of swings last season, I remember Arsenal had a terrible run (Though I think that ended around January, we now only have 10 games left) and then Spurs had an even worse run at the death of the season and Arsenal ended up comfortably in 3rd. So who knows, but Arsenal can't drop more than a handful of points to stand a chance, and that's hard to see happening.

FT Spurs 2-1 Arsenal

Champions League looking unlikely for the gooners

Unless they pull a Chelsea style shock out of the bag and win it

Or Spurs/Chelsea collapse again allowing them to steal 4th place.

Predictions?

Madrid win 1-0, and I'll go for 1-1 in Donetsk and Shakhtar to go through :o

All set up for the Ronaldo show, I'll go for a high scoring draw and Ronaldo to bag a few and Madrid win on away goals

It's time for RVP to play his best game ever!

I think 2-1 for Man United

Rooney not playing is very, very surprising.

Let's have a little light relief before this tense clash
