Celtic surely should've squirted one through by pure chance, but despite Celtic's success in the midfield, I can only attribute the final score to a difference in individual quality. Juventus sat back, dared Celtic to come up with a finish from all their crosses and long shots, but it just wasn't there, especially without Samaras. Meanwhile the Celtic centerbacks were prone to amateur mistakes (the 1st goal evidence of that), and were just torn up at the end. In hindsight, the Juventus tactics seem sound. Had Celtic ever taken the lead, the Italian teeth probably would've come out. Thoughts on Ibra's reckless red card?
