i'm going to spain and portugal in july! does anyone have any suggestions for where i should visit?

:o im going in august :D

same question here

I'm going to Portugal at the beginning of August too !

I'm visiting family and friends near Lisbon.

Where are you going exactly ??

haha, i was going to go to portugal at the end of july/beginning of august too! then i decided to go to london instead, because the family i'd be going with is starting out from holland, driving the entire way and camping. and i'm not a camper :P

all my pictures are linked to in the netherlands blog in my sig if anyone's interested :D

I love travel! Since I've been taking summer school classes like a fiend, I don't have much time off before the fall semester starts. Classes end the seventh of August and resume the twenty-fifth so I have two weeks to enjoy myself. I'm planning on flying to New York and staying there for a few days to visit a friend of mine. After that, I'm going to go visit my brother who is going to school in Spain!

I've been to Spain before but both times had been with groups and now I'm just going by myself! Yayyy!

Nice photos Sandy!

I'm going to Ireland in September, cannot wait! I've always wanted to go there  I'm only going for 2 days though :\

Well I love traveling but dont get to do very much of it.:(

Hmm well lets see last summer I drove down south to florida with a friend. We stopped in tennesee on the way down. We went to seaworld in florida and the beach and whatnot, it was nice. On the way back we went to Alanta GA to see the Aquarium. We also went to nashville and louisville.

I also went to chicago alot last year, because my friend lived there:) I like chi-town alot

Also, I went to montreal and NYC last summer with another friend. Stayed in hostel:) Saw some nice things. Then drove down the coast(the east coast is pretty) and went to NYC for two days. :) Umm someday Ill post pics of it all.

Ive been to more places, but thats when I was younger and it was usually to indiana or camping.lol

I'm going to Ardèche in August (middle of France). This year i won't go to the U.S. :( where i've been 6 times.

  • 3 weeks later...

haven't travelled for a while...

but i`ve booked a holiday to Dublin too.

furthermore i`m planning a trip to Paris and Madrid (visiting my best friend who is doing an ERASMUS year)

if u have some tips concerning Ireland i`m more than welcome e.g. bus prices from Dublin airport :)

as u r keen on pics... here r mine from my trip to Finland (1 1/2 years ago):

Just came back from Dublin!

Wonderful city and lovely people! I love Ireland! :nice:

@Passenger If you're from Germany you'll see that Dublin is extremely expensive. Thankfully Ireland also has the euro as official currency so it's easier to compare prices. A pint of Guinness for 5 € is cheeky as the normal price here is 2,50 €. :D

But Dublin transport is very cheap. At the airport you can buy daily bus tickets "rambler tickets" for 3 or 5 days which cost about 11-15 €. But for the DART (railway) or LUAS (tram) you'll need extra tickets again. I bought a one day DART ticket to see Howth and Dun Laoghaire (spoken "Dan Liri" :P) and it cost about 7,50 €.

Thx!

Well, i`m used to prices around London. So nothing can really shock me. lol

... but 5€ is a bit too much.

However, the transportation costs sound alright. thx for the idea of a special ticket offer. i`ll try to find these "rambler tickets".

do u know if there`s a 24/7 bus service?

Well, I'm not quite sure, but I had problems to get any buses at night. The last bus started at 11.25pm so I had to take a cab twice. Perhaps it depends on the area you live.

Yoo I saw both, but I prefered Howth! I saw 5 seals there in the harbour! Soooo cute! And the coast was absolutely wonderful. I also met someone who sells German sausages there lol. 1 Bratwurst = 4 € ---> :veryangry:
