kimchi baka! i am so jealous!!!

thanks for the info!

cheers

Sorry mate I may have made a mistake. I think from memory the setlist I saw had one song called 'If Death Will Ever..' and another one (either before it or after) as 'The Goldrush'. I wasn't lucky enough to snag that setlist meself, it was another dear member from here, and of course they may have mixed things up a little...(the band not the Coldplaying member hehe!)

radio one changed the setlist

Set list

Life in Technicolor

Violet Hill

Clocks

In My Place

Viva La Vida

Chinese Sleep Chant

God Put A Smile

42

Square One

Trouble

Lost!

Strawberry Swing

Fix You

Lovers in Japan

Thanks for the update Lore!

Loved Will getting a solo when they did the little acoustic bit.

Wonder if this will happen at all later in the tour?

I don't think that's quite right. I thought there was one more song up there on the balcony, and the setlist I saw confirmed it. Oh well, don't mind me, I haven't slept properly for days and am quite prepared to admit I am wrong....would love to know the truth though!

I remember in the NME article in the Bakery they noted one of the new songs was called "Death Will Never Conquer" but I just assumed they'd since changed it to Death and All His Friends. Maybe not...

Is this a cover? Yes or no?

so, it's definitely not a cover.. pogues' song is quite different, the only common thing is the lyric 'let me go boy'. Also, it seems to be titled Goldrush actually, from the last chris interview... isn't it?

anyway, today I have this song stuck in my head

Yeah Chris said it's called The Goldrush, and it's not a Pogues cover, it's a Coldpay song. I think.

is there anyway someone could listen to this?

idk if its naive to think you could record it lol

Will's voice is like butter...I could listen to that song all day...*SIGH*

So how is it called: The Goldrush, If I Should Fall from Grace with God or If Death Will Ever Conquer Me?

Chris said in an interview the other day that it's called The Goldrush, that Will sings it and that they're hoping to do some sort of promotion whereby everybody that goes to the concerts will get a free copy. But this is Chris we're talking about, so who knows what it's actually called and if there actually will be a Goldrush promo :P

The Goldursh is the easiest to remember, so I'll stick with that one :p

I don't know why journalists thought it was a Pogues cover, they could have at least done a lyrics search to check! Sheesh. Anyway, I knew I'd seen it somewhere:

"Oh, and we're also hoping to do this thing where we give away a song with every ticket. We have this song called The Goldrush, which Will sings. We want to play it as part of the show, so we'd like to give it away with the ticket. That way the only people that know that song will be the people coming to the concerts."

I got Jonny's setlist.....

It reads:

Yellow (C Stage)

The Goldrush / Death Will Never Conquer (C Stage)....

Im guessing C stage means balcony. I really can't remember if the songs, like, merged together or something........errrr

wait!:stunned:

Did Jonny touch this setlist?? How did you get it???

*drooooooooling*

Jonny touched it with his foot....it has a footprint on it which Im telling myself is his!

At the end of the show, a roadie handed it to the security guy who had been in front of me..... he folded it into four and grabbed my hand, and made sure I had it. :)

I think I had paid Jonny the most attention of people around me. LMAO..... I saw mostly everyone else around me only looking at Chris :\

It's quite sad that people do not pay any attention to the other Coldplay members. I really admire Chris, but I can't think about him without thinking about Jonny, Guy and, mostly, Will. I'm glad he sang that one, whatever it's called.

And congrats for the setlist. It must've been awesome!

Will sounded great, I really liked the song. :D

so this is definitely The Goldrush ?

I think so. They've definitely stolen some lyrics from the Pogues' song but I'm sure they asked. Apparently Will wrote that song.

this is the song they're going to be giving away...yes? I don't think Will wrote it, where did you hear that?

So cool to finally hear Will singing a solo. When I watched the Live 2003 DVD I already thought it would be great to hear him as lead singer. I love his voice. :smug:
