That one sentence made me more jealous than I've ever been in my whole life- You met Barack?!?! And you got front row tickets?!? That's like.. all of my dreams come true :bigcry: But yeah, when they called it last night, I just completely lost it. I couldn't stop crying and staring blankly at the TV, I was in complete shock. I'm still in shock- all of the volunteering and worrying and drama, it all paid off! He won! :D

I immediately thought "BEATLES!" when I listened the Rainy Day :P I guess PM would be my least favorite too, but I can't really pick one to be my least favorite, they're all so great!

heh, well "met" might be a strong word. i went to an obama rally last april in harrisburg PA and waited for three hours to get a place near the railing, and he came by to shake my hand. basically he said "hello, thank you for coming" and i said "h-h-h-h-h-h-hel-llo s-s-s-irr! :stunned:". and then i waited around after and stalked him a bit and shook his hand again :P

and last sunday, i got front-row ticket upgrades from a coldplay roadie in NJ. and those are only two of the effing mind-blowing things to happen to me this year :P

and picking a least favorite coldplay song is like...picking a least favorite m&m based on its color or something. i think chris once said "picking a least favorite radiohead song is like picking my least favorite model"

Hmm, do you remember when the oracle said it?

Yeah, do you know which one?

Ohhh WOW! :o

I shot out of my seat when it came on!

Just keep ribbing guys - it works!!!

It is FANTASTIC to hear them again!!

Yeah, do you know which one?

The Oracle said back on August 20:

"The album version of Life in Technicolor has an intro before it starts which is indeed the same as the backing music of The Escapist. What you hear is actually an adapted version of Jon Hopkin's track Light Through The Veins. For those who don't know The Escapist is a hidden track tagged onto the end of Death And All His Friends. Anyway, yes there is a full version of Life in Technicolor with lyrics that's about 2 minutes longer than the instrumental version. Very nice it is too. Sure you'll get to hear it one day..."

Nice! I wanted to go to his rally here on Monday, but I got sick. :bigcry: You stalked him? We really know how to stalk here at Coldplaying... :P

I wanted to try and hunt down a roadie for an upgrade, but I had NO idea how to do it. My seats were still incredible, but no upgrade! I didn't stalk successfully at SNL, either. :bomb:

:laugh3: Oh Chris and his comments that are slightly inappropriate for a married man with children to make... (unless that's pre-Gwyneth)

OBAMA

*spoilers* Lyrics to Life in Technicolor II!

I did this by ear; hopefully I've got it right. Don't scroll down unless you've heard the song already!

Time came a creepin'

Oh and time's a loaded gun

Every road is a ray of light

It goes oooooooonnnn

Time will leak and leech amongst it

Such a beautiful night

Oh love, don't let me go

Won't you take me where the street lights glow

I can hear rain coming

Like a serenade of sound

Now my feet won't touch the ground

Thanks a lot for posting the confirmation. That makes me very happy. :smug:

and clearly this is the second verse and chorus. with the intro and first half, I think the song ends within 20 seconds of the end of the preview.

Ialso must say I'm virtually blown away by these tracks. I'm actually somewhat glad they left it at an instrumental on the album, but LIT II is already one of my top ten favorite coldplay songs. Rainy day, is brilliant, they clearly had a field day of new ideas in the recording sessions. For the first time I truly believe they've stepping musically from where they were after X&Y.

I don't quite understand all the flak for GOW. The piano is wonderful, and while it may not be a fave, it's hardly a bad song in it's own right.

Prospekt's March: 3

Glass of Water: 4

Rainy Day: 1

LiT2: 1 (I kinda got it on a glitch though)

Rainy Day is so sweet:D:D:D

Glass of Water is just yay, but Prospekt's March, woo

And LiT is just awesome. Perfect soundtrack song.

Well, this has been an exciting evening!

I think these previews were released in celebration of Obama-san's victory somehow :)

I got to listen to all the songs finally by downloading the widget, and I'm in looooove with them all, especially Rainy Day, even though from the preview it sounds like Chris is singing with false teeth! Bless his cotton socks.

The lyrics are beautiful so far... agh!

The riddles have been amusing -especially 'everything I know is wrong'. The first riddle I got was 'son, don't ask' !!!!

Can someone tell me though, where is the line, 'the captain will store this far below' from?

November 22nd is gonna be a ga-reat day! (*^ワ^*) ♪

They're excerpts from song lyrics

"The Captain will store this far below" is from Violet Hill, they seem to edit the lyrics to make them more riddle-like... there's been two I don't recognize from past songs so far such as "don't settle for anything less" and another one that I suspect may be from Talk, although it does say "talk to me about anything you want" etc

Thank you, Cobalt! I kinda feel embarassed now, with the lyric coming from such a recent song, haha.

Yeah, but as said, two of them I STILL don't know are from what song! It's terrible, I tell ya, terrible :bigcry: XD

^I probably could have too, but these days I am hoooopeless! Plus I'm getting old and impatient, ha.

My recom. for saving yourself is, make sure that when you get it, play it on your stereo first, cos the sound of this thing deserves BIGNESS! (Ok, I am officially in dorkdom)

Oh, for sure! I always do play cds on a stereo first.
