My views on the sweating is they have so many more bright lights on the new stage, and we all know Chris sweats alot anyway's.

No, Chris was pouring with sweat as soon as they took to the stage, and almost all the lights were off then. It was chilly by then too.

 

Great to read all the reviews and stories. I got in at 4 and watched everyone running to the front so must have seen a few of you. Hope you were wearing sunscreen?

Saw Jonny first who was miming, mouthing words and gesturing as it was he who was in fact the poorliest member but he didn't seem ill, just resting his voice; usual happy smiley Jonny in good spirits.

Saw Will watching White Lies, sporting a scarf so they must all be protecting their exposed necks... also in fine fettle.

Chris didn't appear ill to me when I saw him beforehand and he watched Jay Z from a balcony - went unnoticed, quite funny that no-one seemed to be looking at him! Didn't seem ill during show to me either....

Saw Guy warming up and he too was in good mood, so all round, think the next few shows will be amazing!!

I'm sure that even though it was nothing serious as you say all was not right. Up close from front row he looked really uncomfortable to me, and I've never heard his voice like that. Perhaps though as the Vivacrew ladies said afterwards that they thought he was in 'normal-ish' condition I was just lucky with the four gigs I saw last year when he sang as well as he ever has, and had loads of energy, and lots of interaction with people in the front rows.

 

I guess that must just be what such a punishing schedule does for you? To be honest I have no idea how he does it. But being selfish I do hope he's more rested, looking happier, and has more energy for Wembley :)

Well after reading what Debs said, I feel better, granted his schedule is like none others, he is so very active on stage that after all these show's I am sure he is not the same as he was earlier on in the tour, isn't this one of the longest tours they have done? As for the sweat, who know's ? If it wasn't the light's, maybe he just ran out of the shower:D I think the Wembley show's are going to be the best of the whole tour!!!

Actually, I thought there was only a few fireworks (I managed to see just 2 or 3!), so this picture really surprised me!!

Canada visit

 

So I flew over from Canada for my final Viva show of the tour and got into Manchester by train at around 11am. Didn't pre book a hotel so just wandered the streets till I lucked out! Didn't get to the cricket grounds till 1:00.

I had to pick up my tickets so ended up at entrance 2.

It proved to be an excellent choice as there was only 15 people ahead of me.

By the time the que ended up moving to the gates I was only 4th from the gate. It's a good thing I can run... Ended up front row.

Some luck. Or maybe karma was coming to me for putting in so much time following the boys around.

And I must say, the crowd in Manchester was by far the most energetic and excited. In Montreal, I was in row two and they only danced when Viva la Vida came on!

None of my videos turned out due to the proximity to the amps, but got some great shots of Guy laughing during the X factor videos!

All in all, I would cross any pond to see Coldplay over and over again.

Hopefully their break is a short one...;)

Basically, somewhere that you can get access to if you're in early? If so can you also get in and out to get drinks, toilets ..etc via a hand stamp or bracelet or similar?

Haha same here !! I think I saw them during like 3 seconds but then I thought the guys will be leaving the stage soon so I just focused on them :D

 

But yes when you're front row it was almost impossible to see them !

I had a seat at the back and I've seen all those fireworks... and the screens... but it was so wonderful! I wouldlike to feel the same as soon as possible

I was always wondering why he was so serious... I've been to only 4 concerts, but each time he was serious, standing back, not looking at the crowd... Only smiling for 3 seconds at the end.

 

First I thought it was because he was bored. Then I thought it was because he was just shy, but above all very concentrated, in order to get his job done.

 

But now that you tell me he actually CAN look happy and relaxed... I'm really curious and wish I could see this new Guy!!!

She was about twenty feet to my left, not near any Coldplayers that I recognised. A dark-haired lovely, with a twinkle in her eye, and heaven in her smile :sunny: :(

 

Being 'knighted' with a leaflet is an old Kentish tradition and mark of the second-deepest level of respect, weren't you listening as we toured Leeds Castle?? :angry: Of course, the deepest level is awarded with a banana blow to the bonce, but you didn't quite deserve that, so it stayed 'holstered' in my pocket :laugh3:
