I've really enjoyed the new Franz. White lies is pretty good, too

The new Yeah Yeah Yeahs album is great.

Franz ferdinand - Blood

The 'Dub' mixes of the Tonight tracks, just sounds better in my ears.

I still haven't listened to those.

animal collective - mpp

Not Sure What To Say

I'm not sure that I understand exactly what is being asked here. Are we to speak of new music to be released in 2009, or recent music released late in 2008? Well, I look forward to the new U2 album, but if the song they performed at the Grammy's is an example of what to expect; well, it makes me feel a bit uncomfortable.

At the end of last year, I enjoyed, and still do enjoy Verve's latest. "Rainbows" by Radiohead is brilliant. Augustana put out a pretty good album. I like great singing voices so I think that Leona Lewis and Jennifer Hudson satisfied me greatly. Oh, I must not forget Keane. "Perfect Symmetry" is a movement in the right direction for this band. Cool. The grand prize however, goes to Coldplay's "Viva La Vida."

the only thing I've liked so far this year is Noble Beast by Andrew Bird. I've nearly worn the disc out already from overplay. It's a fantastic album and jumped very quickly to high on the list of my favorite albums ever.

I've liked what I heard of M. Ward's new album as well...

Heard there's a new David Gray album coming out this year. THAT'S one I'm excited about... I love David Gray.

I just bought a CD by a guy named Ben Woodward on CDBABY and loved about half of it. The other half... ehhh, not so much. But his acoustic songs are beautiful and were worth the eight bucks. Also, I've just heard a guy named James Yuill.. the song is called, "No Surprise." Look it up on youtube! he's very good and it looks like he has an album coming out this year. I'd never heard of him before but the song is really fun

Red Light Company - fine fascination

Bell X1 - Blue Lights on the Runway

Both very good albums

Howling Bells - Radio Wars

very much like their half decent debut but better production and cleaner vocals and with a hint of tehno. personally i havent enjoyed the album too much, it does have its moments but for the most part its a weak sophomore album.

All the Plans by Starsailor's really amazing, and yes. Kingdom Of Rust will be too. I'm positive of it.

I hadn't noticed the quote in your siggy before. I'm touched!

Oh yeah, almost forgot. Leonard Cohen's putting out a new album too. I hope it's good. The writing will be.

Oh, and also get excited about Pete Doherty!! His album is released soon. From the previews it is GOOD.

Next week is the new Casiotone For The Painfully Alone album release...can't bloomin' wait!
