February 6, 200917 yr Alpine is lovely. Steep hill. High roof. Fixed seating but most of these venues have a pit area, lets just hope they sell some pit tickets. Holds more than most of these venues, around 40,000 I think. Parking was nightmare, took us forever to get out after.
February 6, 200917 yr Coldplay "en vivo" at Alpine Valley July 25 Coldplay, which made its first Milwaukee appearance March 12, 2003 at the Eagles Ballroom on its tour supporting its second disc, "A Rush of Blood to the Head," returns to southeastern Wisconsin to play at Alpine Valley on Saturday, July 25. The band also played Alpine Valley during the tour for "X+Y" on Aug. 13, 2005 and at the Bradley Center on March 19, 2006. The tour starts July 10 in Portland, Ore., and wraps Aug. 9 in Tampa. It is the latest jaunt in support of "Viva La Vida," the band's fourth album, released in July 2008. The record has topped the chart in 36 countries, including the U.S. and England. It is also the band's fourth straight studio album to be certified multi-Platinum by the RIAA and has sold nearly 8 million copies around the world. The band's tour starts Feb. 12 in Asia and Australia before hitting North America. Tickets for the Alpine Valley show go on sale Saturday, Feb. 14 at http://www.coldplay.com. February 7, 200917 yr Does anyone know how much U.S. tickets for Coldplay usually cost? Also, where is the best place to purchase them when they come out? (I'm hoping this will be my first Coldplay concert!) Thanks!
February 9, 200917 yr Why are there already tickets for sale on Stub Hub and the various ticket broker sites? I thought this show wasn't on sale till the end of the week.
February 9, 200917 yr In my opinion Alpine Valley is a #@$%hole of a place to see a concert. Very little reserved seats. The seats to either sides of the stage give bad viewing angles. And the individual rows of seats are so long that if you are sitting near the end ,you will constantly have people walking back and forth in front of you to get in and out.The grass seats are sloped at such an angle you will need to see your doctor the next morning to have your knees and back worked on. The parking is horrendous. Unless you leave early, Do not plan on getting out of the parking area until about 2 hours after the show. Sound can be awful. I have been to shows there where you could not hear the lead vocals, but could hear the wonderful singing of the entire crowd. But sacrifices must be made to see and maybe hear one of the best bands around.

February 13, 200917 yr i don't think people on stubhub really have tix yet, they are selling tix they don't have in hopes of snagging them on the public sale. if they don't get them then they go hunting for them through brokers after the fact.
February 13, 200917 yr Alpine Valley presales It doesn't appear that the 10:00 a.m. CST presales are going to happen on TicketRush. No ticketing information appears at all. The other concerts that have presales that didn't start have other information posted. I guess that isn't a good sign. How disappointing that I will now have to deal with the masses tomorrow in the regular sale.

February 13, 200917 yr I think these presales are a crock. The promoters, etc get all the front tickets (probably front 3 sections). They then limit the number of seats in the presale.
