Hardest Coldplay songs to sing

Featured Replies

Yes, Shiver is probably the hardest song for everybody...

Also Amsterdam..."stuck on the end, of this ball and chain... Im on my way back down..." This is the reason I hate this song... There's like zero singing along!!!!

Green Eyes, for me, it's like difficult x10 :(

Maybe I just shouldn't sing Coldplay songs, maybe I should just give up!!!! :bigcry:

y are we debating this. shiver. end of story

Seconded.

Actually, Yes is easy for me.... BUT All the others mentioned, are very difficult. The transitions from falsetto to regular are very difficult to do, and make it sound good.

Dyou think Chris needs to master the "by the way" breathing technique? :P

Yeah, but he runs around a lot...stupid boy.

Could be.

Fix You is actually one of the only Coldplay songs (besides VLV) that I can sing, oddly enough. I guess I'm good with the high notes. :P

Well if you're good in falsetto it can be an easy song.

Naw, YES is just hard to sing.. FULL STOP. Even as a guy, you'd have to have a particularly low voice to sing that

Everytime I try to sing YES I either go flat in the middle of the first verse, or practically end up whispering it. I can sing it if I stand completely still, but I can't sing it while strumming.

After the first verse the song gets easier to sing though.

But that first verse... man.. that's a killer once my voice got horse cuz i spent an afternood convinced that if I keep going at it I would get it.

On another note, I can do the falsetto's pretty easy :) ( and NO i do not have a girly voice ).

Yes is probably the hardest.

Except for the incredibly high parts in Shiver, its pretty easy to sing.

I used to not be able to even come close to Shiver, but the last time I tried it, I hit all the high notes without much difficulty.

Then again, I also used to not be able to hit the "they're all spies" notes in Spies, and now I could do that with my vocal chords ripped out.

Probably Shiver, Yes or White Shadows.

it's fairly easy for me to hit the high notes, it's the lower ones that i can't do.

so Yes, Sparks, GPASUYF and even songs like DWNC and The Scientist are hard for me in certain spots. :/

Shiver can be tough, and i'm not sure i can hit the notes without sounding like a dying dolphin.

Yeah, the high notes are evil. Even Chris tends to miss the first one during the chorus of yellow every now and then.

I agree with those already mentioned, so to add to the list...

Lovers in Japan: Tough, tough tough chorus. I can't sing this without sounding like a dying mule.

i definitely agree with LiJ. especially the "to see what i'm all about" part.

Moral of this thread: Chris is a good singer. Or we're all just bad singers.

:P

or both! :P

for me, it'd probly be shiver and yes...i can sing pretty well, but only to a certain point:D...dying dolphin? i'm more of a cat getting run over-that's what my dad tells me :p

I'm just terrible at singing every one of Chris's high notes, notably the "But I'm so easy to please, so EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" part in "Easy to Please" I have a low voice, so I can sing "Yes" fairly well

I think I could do a decent cover of Green Eyes and Swallowed in the Sea but as for Shiver and Violet Hill i think I just sound silly. Besides singing one song I have to learn is Ladder to the Sun , its probably my favorite or really close to it.

As a girl, I have no trouble singing the high notes, but there are so many songs where he sings too low and I have to sing it in a higher octave, and I have to switch back and forth. :P There are only a few songs I can sing FULLY in his octave, like Fix You, Viva La Vida, 42, Trouble, Twisted Logic, Life In Technicolor II, Talk, Clocks, X&Y, Speed Of Sound, Yellow, Square One...and that's about it. :X

I think THE HARDEST PART and TROUBLE are difficult to sing.

It sounds scary if I sing it:D

Well for me, I can sing pretty much all of them (some better than others) except for Yes, Low, and a couple parts of Swallowed in the Sea. Practice makes perfect though, right?
