I'm fortunate to have a well-paying, recession-proof job with lots of vacation time.

I used to follow Yes around... have seen about 200 shows since the late 80's. But alas, their health isn't too good anymore... first the lead singer had acute respiratory failure, which led to cancellation of their 40th anniversary tour last summer. Then this past tour in Feb, bass player went down and they had to cancel AGAIN. Well after all, they ARE in their 60's.

Sometime last summer, I started listening to Coldplay for the first time EVER (can you believe it??) It all started when one of my colleagues at work started ragging on me for having "nothing after 1985" on my iPod. I decided maybe I should check out some "newer" music LOL. I heard Clocks on someone else's iPod, walked over and saw it was Coldplay, and downloaded AROBTTH from iTunes that evening. As they say, the rest is history....

At least the guys in Coldplay are still in their 20's... I am thrilled that this band that I have completely latched onto are young and energetic and able to do tons of shows without problems!!

Long live Coldplay!!:)

That's so awesome! What job do you have? I'm currently in college and I don't have a major so I'm trying to figure it all out haha. + Good idea getting hooked on Coldplay!! You made the right choice! haha. :P

In my opinion this is one of the biggest SCAMS in the industry today. The promoters, in likely cahoots with TicketBastard/LiveAbomination, prey on our (the biggest fans') desire for tickets. They put out crappy seats for presales, people buy them because they're afraid nothing better is gonna come up. We are all suckers..... myself included.

SELLING 3 TICKETS SECTION 100 ROW S....SEATS ALL TOGETHER ANYONE HERE INTERESTED. NOT LOOKING TO MAKE ANY MONEY....JUST GET MY MONEY BACK. If your interested please reply fast cause I am going to list these for sale. Im an honest person and a huge fan. Just want to get my money back!

Good discusion going on here about these better tickets being released yesterday.

I'm mad because I had to buy two separate seats for my sister and me for the Tampa concert in order to be as close as possible. JUST to see a Pit area showing up on the seating chart! :veryangry:

On the other hand, I plan to go to the West Palm Beach, FL concert

SO I'm glad I haven't bought a ticket for that one yet.

Actually, the other Coldplayer who I'm planning to go with told me that our best bet was to buy them at the box office the very day of the concert. Sounds risky, but it might actually pay off!

but i don't.

so i'll be stuck with okay seats forever. :(

In many years of concertgoing and following various bands, I've heard the same thing... people getting really good seats the day of the show. Apparently after the stage is all set up, often there are extra seats that they can sell. I always tell myself that one day I'm going to take that strategy. But when it comes right down to it, I am always extremely anxious about tickets and need to lock them up as soon as I can. Sometimes to my detriment. :\

^^ My friend once got tickets to a Fall Out Boy/All American Rejects/Hawthorne Heights concert that was at the Sovereign Bank Arena back when it was called the Tweeter Center, and she called me literally like 4 hours before the concert started to ask if I wanted to go. What happened was that her and her parents called the SBC box office the day of and got the tickets for I think it was Section 103? But they were not expensive, regular price I think [that concert was only like $30 cuz they're not as amazing as Coldplay, duh]. So anyway, what happened was that it was the seats next to the handicapped spaces, which are reserved for people going with someone who is handicapped, and they didn't sell them so she called and got them, then picked them up at Will Call at the SBC when we got there and it was great! So that's probably what they do.. well.. at least one of the things they do haha.

i agree, white.shadows, i always want to know i have them WHEN they come out. :P

KIDS...

I CAN'T WAIT OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!

I just thought of something. For all of us who go stalking ( me for sure) we probably would be able to listen to the soundcheck since its outdoors!

There might be like a back room or underground thingi for the sound check.. but I dunno!

how early is everyone going to try for the soundcheck and whatnot?

you think so? alright. i was planning on getting there around 1, but i'll go around 12. i took off the whole day so i'm ready to be there forever. i hope something works out.

Good luck to all of you.. I'll have to try for the soundcheck at the next Coldplay show in the area cuz I have a final 3:30-5:30, so I won't be able to get there any bit early unless the final gets moved or if for some reason the teacher lets me take it early! [we'll see how that goes..]
