It says "march 10 2009".I don't know how old Guy's daugther is.

well it looked like she was holding a baby on the bed....and Nico is a what almost 3 years old now.... i wonder who that baby is then....

and ya...the huge skull picture is kind of creepy......idk not my choice esp. if i had a lil girl in the house, i imagine that huge Skull pictures would scare Nico.....

but i guess if joanna likes it...............its her house to decorate

I remember that article- it was about their old house a while ago... not sure why it has the new date stamp...

It would have been hard having to choose between the two things he loves both ..his family or his music .... now he can still have some of both worlds..

I disagree with that, you don't have to choose between your family or your profession, it's not black or white, but can be both in a good way.

It's just the way that the whole family takes the situation.

Yeah, for a young mother who has her first child it must be very difficult to face up alone, but as the article says, he's with his daughter everytime that he can, and it doesn't mean he "ignores" his family life.

And others have a worse situation, as Gwyneth and Chris, being both famous and yet still together, even with two little childs.

I mean, my impression is that the relationship between Guy and Joanna not only hasn't gone well for his work but just for themselves.

Such kind of things depends on each one, perhaps Will's and Jonny's wives also believe that is hard to lead the family, but maybe their relationship is more stronger.

I don't like Joanna's house, it's more of a museum than a home to me.

It was weird to read that Guy would rather spend time on his computer than with his family. I think it's not entirely true since his definitely a great father and cares a lot about his child.

I agree - I think it's a really inappropriate thing to say in an interview. I don't think she meant it in a bad way but it does imply it's Guy's fault that they broke up, like he's a bad father who'd rather use his computer than see his family. Yet in the next sentence she's saying how they go on holiday together, come on tour, hang out, he moved nearby to be with his daughter as much as possible. That sounds like a good dad trying to make the best of a bad situation. I can't believe he went from one extreme to the other just because he's no longer married. It takes two to make a relationship work, whatever the circumstances.

I'm not sure about being left at home with a new baby all on her own being the reason either. All the wives seem to bring their kids along with them. Will's tiny babies came on this tour and Jonny's girl too. I think there is probably a lot more to the whole thing that anyone can begin to understand and hopefully the details be kept private, as it should be.

well, their relationship was like anybody elses...it just didn't work out. You guys read far to much it that, it makes two to make a relationship work like it takes two not to make it work. Not more or less.

I just don't like in general when fans go on what a great guy he is, what a great father blabla. As none of us know if he actually is.

Doubt very much that Coldplay etc. was the reason they broke up, guess it was a lot of things. What did Chris once say sometimes is just better not to be around a musican...and I agree with him as most of them are very selfish people otherwise they couldn't do the job they do.

P.

@cpfan 50..........yah i kind of wondered about that part too......describing Guy as "brooding" and saying Guy would rather be on his computer than with his family and that he was a loner.............he obviously makes an effort to see Nico as much as he can......idk those parts just didnt sound like him to me.....and it was wierd that she was saying that in an interview too

and yes cpfan50 your right, ppl just just get divorced bc a couple months were bad........there had to have been other problems that had been going on for a while.........and yes, hopefully those stay in private between them :)

To be honest, I'm not surprised in the slightest that she described him as a loner, you can see that by the way he interacts (or doesn't as the case may be) with the rest of the band and audience on stage.

It's nothing to be worried about though, he is who he is.

First of all, I would not be surprised if they left out comments made by her that would truly explain the situation. Not everything she said could have possibly made the article so we still don't know the whole picture, and what we are getting is what they want us to hear or what they feel is good to share.

Secondly, maybe he did want to spend more time on the computer then with his family. Some men and women are not ready to be parents when a child is brought into the world. Sometimes it takes them to a little time to adjust to the situation. This could have been Guy. I don't know know but it could be possible.

Remember, we only see what they present to us. We do not know what these guys are like behind closed doors so anything can be possible.

Personally, I rather not have known what had happened. It really isn't anybody's business but their own, but she made it known. I give her a little bit of credit. At least she waited some time before saying something.

it is a looot better view of her house.

It seems like a completely different house...

Beatles:smug:

is that her old house? i remember an article about their house from back when joanna was still pregnant and i remember seeing some of the same pics. or did she keep that same house?

yah im not surprised at the loner thing.

I don't know how to pronounce "Matrushka"!!!

Nice article, even though I don't like fancy schmancy houses like these, but hey, she's obviously passionate about that sortta stuff so it's cool!

I wish there were pix of Nico's bedroom though, hope it doesn't have any naked portraits/stuffed animals thingies! :uhoh::P

I think Jo took some pieces of furniture from their old house, like the "war is over" poster and bedroom lamps.

oh so she did get a new house? ok thanks!

yah and i also recognized that one little white table/cabinet thing with the pieces of mirror all over the front.

i think it's sort of like "muh-true-sh-kuh" or "ma-true-sh-ka" or whatever

yes, I think she bought a new house after the divorce. I read somewhere that they put the old one on the market. Then Guy had the cottage house somewhere near London, then bought a house in Hampstead to be close to Nico.

Jo definitelly got some money from their divorce, so she could afford a new "place"

i think it's sort of like "muh-true-sh-kuh" or "ma-true-sh-ka" or whatever

Thanx Lauren! :D

I just realized that "Matrushka" means these dolls:

mat51.jpg

Also realized it's not the brightest name for a domestic interior styling company! :P

it is something like that, yes.

Thanx Lauren! :D

But it sounds good and original. But if i heard something like "matrushka" i definetely wouldn't thought that it is a styling company, because around here everybody knows what "matrushka" is.

Talk about what? What does that have to do with anything?

girlfriends_joanna.jpg

she looks like my cousin, and bit like my sister (who gets asked if she's filipina sometimes)

Yeah, much better views.

UK flag!

The kitchen and the bathroom are great!

But I'll NEVER want pictures of naked human beings on the walls of my house! It's so embarassing!:embarassed:

agreed, like the red fridge, and the bathroom. BUT those pictures, I don't like them. Oh, and the one with the skull over the fireplace

Creepy skull :stunned:

There are called matryoshkas :dozey:

that house is horrendous

too many items to live with comfortably. at least for me.

:laugh3:

Well, I don't think is horrendous. It's kinda cool except for the stuffed animals, the giant skull picture, and the naked pics. Take those out, and I would think is beyond awesome. BUT that's her house, and she can decorate it however she wants.

Yeah... I think that's kind of hte part where I was like... well that's kind of harsh.

But I think she just meant he was never the type who wanted a big family and big family home or whatever.

the skull scares me... Nico might have nightmares because of that picture:uhoh:

Nice find michie :nice: at first I thought  huh this is really old right?

but anyways couple things:

*how long is she going to be 30? she was 30 here and still 30 in this article? :inquisitive:

*is anyone seeing similarities between jezebells and matruska (as in the names) aren't they both synonyms for....

prostitutes :uhoh: :lipsrsealed2:

*where are the toys? I mean the article is clearly and advertisment for her new company, so I understand the styling you would do to look awesome on pics, it's probably not like that for real, less excess decoration, but still eventhough I like how she's done the place it doesn't really look like anyone actually lives there.. esp no kids..

but like the house, there's some things I'd gladly copy/paste into my own :D
