I was never into Blur. I found their songs rather cheesy.:dozey:

I could never understand the whole Oasis-Blur thing because for me, Oasis were (and still are) a proper rock band with an edgy sound, whilst Blur were very "poppy" and their songs were far more lightweight.;)

^yep, that's actually true.

but i think it's always a matter of taste - even coldplay are rumoured to be a rock band by some people... ;D

The one thing Coldplay and Oasis have in common is that they both make serious music and are in no way "poppy" or cheesy - unlike Blur.;)

well yes, i agree that coldplay and oasis certainly are the greatest bands in the world, but yet i still like blur - they have some really nice songs. ;)

Country House makes me feel sick every time I hear it. It has such a horrible sound.......................

really? that's actually one of the songs i like best :nice:

true, it's not what i usually call a good song or great music, but it's catchy, hehe.

Well there are a lot of songs which are "catchy" but not necessarily good.:dozey:

but i still like catchy songs better than boring songs, so catchy songs are not necessarily bad.

Blur were one of the best bands because they changed their sound from album to album.

City dweller

Successful fella

Thought to himself:

oops, Ive got a lot of money

Caught in a rat race

Terminally

Im a professional cynic

But my hearts not in it

Im paying the price of living life at the limit

Caught up in the centurys anxiety

Oh He lives in a house

A very big house

In the country.

That's just the lyric. It's the instrumentation that sucks.

Didn't stop thousands of people buying it.

Well thousands of people bought Crazy Frog too.;)

They didn't it was record stores.

Same with Blur then.;)

i thought this said blue thread

my mistake

Don't tell me you were a fan of them!!:stunned:

There isn't any "Blue" threads to do with the band, not even down in the depths of time.

Thank goodness for that!!

All boy band threads should be banned!!

no take that are good

Since they stopped doing all those dodgy dance routines, I'm not sure they should be categorised as a boy band any longer. They've now managed to attain "pop group" status.
