April 27, 200917 yr they are talking about it here too, everyone is kinda scared, at the airport there are people checking every person coming from Mexico or the US
April 27, 200917 yr yaay! and earthquake! oh god damn it where is milla jovovich when you need it? :bigcry:
April 27, 200917 yr Jeezzz there's cases over there?? Be careful Ari... yes and pretty close to me, half 3rd year class when to Mexico (Caribean and Riviera Maya areas), like less than a month ago  sure i will. anyways knowing that there are remedies and that some people are recovering helps to not feel that panicked. but yet all that is too strange, i still agree with what Ryan has said, won't it'll be some kind of bioterrorism or something? is very strange is affecting young healthy people anyways some people were interviewed when arriving from mexico on the airport in madrid, and all them had a mask, even some people expected more things, like be tested or something in the airport.
April 27, 200917 yr In America last year; Last year, over 200,000 people were hospitalized and over 35,000 died from influenza. More people die from the flu we've all had before then will die from this new flu, or from the Bird flu.
April 27, 200917 yr 28 cases in nyc now.. the numbers are increasing.. did you go to the doctor yet, Ricardo?
April 27, 200917 yr In America last year; More people die from the flu we've all had before then will die from this new flu, or from the Bird flu. So true There have been suspected cases of swine flu in the UK. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8020222.stm
April 27, 200917 yr Here is a live map of all flu outbreaks: http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&t=p&msa=0&msid=106484775090296685271.0004681a37b713f6b5950&ll=32.639375,-110.390625&spn=15.738151,25.488281&z=5
April 27, 200917 yr I did and I'm such a fag :dozey: I have another thing :P Still I ought to have some caution In America last year; More people die from the flu we've all had before then will die from this new flu, or from the Bird flu. but this one is new, no vaccines yet and besides, I mean if it becomes a epidemic it will be something very hard
April 27, 200917 yr yes and pretty close to me, half 3rd year class when to Mexico (Caribean and Riviera Maya areas), like less than a month ago  sure i will. anyways knowing that there are remedies and that some people are recovering helps to not feel that panicked. but yet all that is too strange, i still agree with what Ryan has said, won't it'll be some kind of bioterrorism or something? is very strange is affecting young healthy people anyways some people were interviewed when arriving from mexico on the airport in madrid, and all them had a mask, even some people expected more things, like be tested or something in the airport. a month ago? dont' worry :nice: they would have already felt sick... and well the flu is not on the zone they went to, although they could have gotten it on Mexico city (even on the airport)
April 27, 200917 yr a month ago? dont' worry :nice: they would have already felt sick... and well the flu is not on the zone they went to, although they could have gotten it on Mexico city (even on the airport) it was a cruise. :uhoh: i think. good to know that you've gone to the doctor and are getting well :nice:
April 27, 200917 yr mmm So... wait, but they took it where? If they did not step on Mexico City then there's not much problem, I mean there are still chances of getting it, but very low... besides the people who are dying are those who go to see the doctor one week after
April 27, 200917 yr I did and I'm such a fag :dozey: I have another thing :P Still I ought to have some caution but this one is new, no vaccines yet and besides, I mean if it becomes a epidemic it will be something very hard Maybe so, but you're more likely to die from the normal flu we've all had before then this, more likely to be shot or stabbed, or die from cancer. If you look at what kills more people, they are a couple million things that are more dangerous to you and me then this. Getting in a car you're more likely to die, but is the news out saying stay out of cars? or stay away from Highways? It's simple propaganda and fear mongering that our governments and news use to make money and gain power. I'm more likely to die from a thousand other things then this, same with you.
April 27, 200917 yr Granted, this strain of flu probably doesn't have enough known about it yet to be properly compared to standard flu or even past swine flu outbreaks. That said, I'm not gonna hit the panic button, even being close to Mexico. Heck, I don't even think people should stop eating pork. Rather, this is a good time for everybody to check their precautions, restock on simple meds (don't rush the doctor offices), and KEEP GOOD HYGIENE. Cleanliness is the greatest flu prevention technique.
April 27, 200917 yr How is that a conspiracy? Do you not remember Y2K disaster or the bird flue epidemic, or that were all going to die from Terrorist? Humans panic and fear over every little thing, stats show were more likely to die from a thousand other things. More people are murdered in Mexico then have died or will probably die from this. More people die each day in car crashes in Mexico then are killed by this..why aren't you afraid of being murdered, or dieing in a car? You can live in fear of everything the news says is going to kill you...everything causes cancer, every where death is waiting for you... I lived my life scared of every little thing, every germ and in the end you just have to say the hell with it and live. I'm learning not to fear monger over every little thing.
April 27, 200917 yr sorry I now see your point, but dude this is different, and yeah more people die on the bathtub daily but this is a virus and if it gets out of control then there's going to be a problem of more than thousands of iffencted, and without enough medicines, then a lot of deads; so it's better to take some cautions to don't spread the virus... that's all the fuzz about. And yes I'm not being paranoic, I live in a really big city, with lots of insecurity, so don't tell me that I must not live with panic, I have more chances of getting murdered for fighting against a rober than because of a simple flu, yes but this is different, the virus has spread hastily and people are already dying, so this is not because of simple hysteria, it's just caution
