thanks for all the feedback so far, especially to the new members who have joined to add their comments. Reading Roadie's latest blog it may already be helping out those at the forthcoming venues :)

i figured that, not complaining at all. how about a t-shirt instead? lol - $35 for a t-shirt is insane. i work in retail and we print our own t-shirts. those tees they do cost about $2.50 a piece to print, maybe less due to the quantities. crazy.... i still want one :)

Band t-shirts and posters are one way the bands still milk money in from the crowd, that won't stop.

I was an Oxfam volunteer at the Atlanta show. We were given the task of handing out the CDs at the end of the show... There were hands EVERYWHERE! For the most part everyone was very kind, took one CD and said thank you. Others were slightly greedy and would try to hide the one they already had and grabbed another one. It isnt easy to concentrate when you have 14,000 people coming at you with their hand out... I was able to keep one cd for myself. When the last box I had was down to 20 CDs and there were still a few hundred people comeing out I handed them out as quick as possible and then FLED THE AREA like OJ at a murder scene...

Birmingham hand out was slow but I got one. Once security got the word out to stand to one side for the CDs and the other to just exit, it moved faster.

As the saying goes, no good deed goes unpunished.

I'm not holding my breath for a CD (I'm going to the Toronto show.) with over 50,000 leaving at the same time.

Hershey had plenty.

There were four of us at the Hershey PA concert, and we were pretty close to being the last ones out. There were plenty of CDs to be had. We each were given one. No pushing, shoving, hoarding. Was hoping to be one of the lucky 20 to get a signed CD, but am thankful for the freebie as is. No problems at this venue at all for us!!

Eek, I feel sorry for the Oxfam Volunteers who got stuck with the job, as usual venue personnel seem to make the job more difficult

Hey everybody!

We were at the Pitt show (May 30, 2009) ... the cd's were handed out during the exit.

4 from our clan left the concert a little early .. they received their cd's with no problems.

My friend & I stayed until the end, we received ours too ... without any problems.

Everything ran smoothly ... Thank you Coldplay, for a wonderful show & your generous hospitality ... YOU ARE THE BEST!!!!:clap::clap: :escaping: :sunny:

My daughter and I attended Hershey, and in spite of a rain delay and worrying about Chris' burn condition, all in attendance seemed to leave in a very orderly fashion and from what we could see, each of us got one CD. The volunteers were posted at the exits (which in Hershey are narrow and lacking in sufficient numbers). Having said that, I do believe that giving them out as one enters the arena would have been a better idea (other than having to hold on to them all thru the show of course), so there are pros and cons to either method. The totally ideal way would require some extra technology, but I think having your ticket scanned as soon as you get the CD and being computer-controlled would really eliminate any problems. NO complaints from us though, the CD is amazing and I wonder if the band understands how much this gesture is appreciated???? Please email them a thankyou if you haven't already.

we were basically the last to leave the Hartford gig and i made up some story how my friend from chile was supposed to be here but could not come and could i please have an extra copy for her. they were very nice and gave me an extra - they had plenty. hopefully it will be in her hands tomorrow.

I was at DTE in Detroit, and had absolutely no problem receiving a cd. My friend and I stayed behind in hopes of getting a setlist, so we were out a lot later then most of the crowd, and it seemed like the workers had plenty of cd's. Thanks guys for making the show even better by giving us this memento. I'll always re-imagine these songs again from my perspective while listening.

I was at the Cincy show. Ran great! Me and my wife both got one. Neither signed :(

there was a big build up of people, but not shoved or ran or anything! No one even said a bad word about the whole thing! A guy with a megaphone was re-directing people if they didn't want a cd. As far as I know, everyone got one (might have been a few who didn't)

I went through the gate and probably about 50 people from each of the lines around me were forced to go out the gates with no cd. They said they were out and made everyone leave. Alot of people around me were really upset. They were telling us we weren't allowed back in and to keep moving. I went back in anyway, went to another line and got a cd. Like Ang said I took an empty box out of the trash, to keep my butterflies in ;)

But it was crap that not everyone got their cd.

I had no problems getting a CD at the Cincy and Indy concerts.

How's the CD distribution going?

I remember reading the review of the first show in Florida where they handed out copies of LeftRightLeftRightLeft, and people were saying that it was really disorganized and difficult to obtain the album. Has the experience improved at all? I'd like to know what to expect when I see them tomorrow...

I went to the Shoreline show and it went real smooth. They handed them out at the gates as you were walking out.But I think it was only one gate but it was easy getting a copy.

It was quite painless at the Gorge, all of my family was able to get a copy.

smooth at clark county.
