October 13, 200916 yr That all the Viva songs are mostly pre-recorded live. Im okay with a synth backing (In My Place, Clocks, Fix You) but the drumming in Lost!, Violin in 42, almost all of Viva La Vida. I'd like to see more 4 man rock then all the sounds live!

October 14, 200916 yr One thing I don't like about Coldplay? I can think of one. They're too perfect.!
October 14, 200916 yr One thing I don't like about Coldplay? I can think of one. They're too perfect.! THIS!
October 15, 200916 yr Second thing I don't like: They gave away Lukas. Natalies voice is so awful. I just came in here to post almost the same thing: They gave away "Fun"!! :veryangry2: I just listened to it and it's driving me crazy, it's such a beautiful song and they GAVE IT AWAY, ahhhhh! :mean: I asked the Oracle if there's a chance that they'll pull a "Gravity" and release their own version too :P
October 15, 200916 yr Yes, They're tickets.. cheapest one in the lawn are freakin' $40! D:< I don't make alot of money Coldplay! And yeah i do have to say this.. I didn't like the song Yes. Exept for Chinese sleep chant.. And they're popular enough to be mainstreamed but NOT popular enough to sell a poster at your local walmart -_- C'maaaan!
October 15, 200916 yr One thing I don't like is sometimes I feel like they aren't even playing the keyboards they have on stage for lovers in japan and Viva la vida. Just the fact that they try and make it look like they are bothers me. You're right, the keys for Lovers and Viva are both played on backing tracks. They've always done this with the odd synth/organ/string part, also a lashing of guitar (Square One live, anyone?) here and there, but in the most recent tour their cheating is unparalelled. They even mime the backing vocals on Viva and Lost... I think! (It sounds FAR too much like the recorded version for me)
October 15, 200916 yr I don't like it that I never can find any posters in the shops in Holland of Coldplay. :(
October 15, 200916 yr I don't like it that I never can find any posters in the shops in Holland of Coldplay. :( I don't like it that I can never find any posters in the shops in England! sad3 At least, not near where I live. It's sooo annoying, you can only order them online and even then there aren't many. Every other big band has so much more! The only thing I don't specifically like about Coldplay? Umm, that's really hard as I love everything about them. Apart from perhaps A whisper... and Chinese Sleep Chant. But really, I don't dislike anything. :D
October 15, 200916 yr I already griped about this... but, I hate how they are always going on and on about how great other MEDIOCRE artists are. "Like omg Jay Z is the best and so is Kanye and I love Girls Aloud blah blah blah heck we even watch Hannah Montana!" SHUT UP! It sounds extemely fake and contrived. The fact that they listen/performed with Girls Aloud made me scream. Literally. To an extent: backing tracks. I understand that to capture the essence of the studio version (or for the song to translate at all live) they need to play the odd backing track (an extra guitar, ambient noise, piano etc.). There are times though where I think it goes too far. I don't necessarily think the studio version has to be replicated in its entirety. There are moments where lead guitar, backing vocals and even the drums are being pumped through the speakers. Obviously it's not a major gripe. The boys still trump the majority of the pre-recorded garbage out there. They can play the stuff brilliantly, so it'd be nice to hear more of it live.
October 15, 200916 yr ^ It's pretty easy to find Coldplay posters, I have 6 on my walls :P where did you find them?.. i have to make my won at Staples :P

They even mime the backing vocals on Viva and Lost... I think! (It sounds FAR too much like the recorded version for me) I agree with you; at times, the backing vocals sound too similar to the studio recording, especially with "Viva la Vida". If they really are not singing the "Oooohhhh's" or the quieter "Ooooooh's" at the very end, it bothers me even more that they're pretending to sing. Also, I can't help but think the four-part harmonies during "Fix You" are pre-recorded when they play it live, except for Chris's part. :\ I just think it sounds too close to the studio recording. Of course, I could be completely wrong on this. I adore Coldplay. I truly do, but this bothers me so much. I hope I'm wrong and the boys really are singing the backing vocals and harmonies live, or they have a very good reason to use pre-recorded vocals.
October 16, 200916 yr wow, 12 pages of coldplay gripes:shocked2: my only issue is that theyve become too big, like..... it would've been a lot easier to find a way to meet them before viva la vida theyre so famously far away from the every day joe and i despise the stupid viva bandwagon fans who have never even heard of trouble or shiver i pride myself on being a fan since i was like... 12
October 16, 200916 yr Hey, I used to be one of those "bandwagon viva fans", but I'm glad that curiosity got the better of me and introduced me to all of Coldplay's albums. ;) ...Which one is Parachutes again? :laugh3: Okay what I don't like is that I can't find any Coldplay merchandise (not CDs--posters, mugs, bags, etc.) where I live. It's like there aren't enough Coldplay fans here to supply the demand for it. And what I also don't like are the inflated price of concert tickets and that Chris is becoming more and more protective of his privacy...I respect his privacy but I feel bad for the fans who just want to meet him, and for his kids who might have to hide their faces one day. I hope he doesn't start going Michael Jackson on his kids and make them wear masks. :P
October 16, 200916 yr even i already said this thousand times, but anyway... i don't like their Viva La Vida's clothing(looks,style...),sorry:P
