VIVA LA VIDA!!! It was like: :shocked2:...:cry2:... :wacky:...:heart::heart: !!!

Yellow was the first song I heard and I liked them then, but Clocks was the song that made me become a superfan ;)

I heard Viva la Vida and Violet Hill beforehand, but Speed of Sound just made me go insane. I'm sure a lot of people can agree with me from the above posts... :D

Speed of Sound was the first Coldplay song I heard. But I didn't become addicted till Viva La Vida came out.

I believe it was Trouble that hooked me in, but i became totally addicted to Coldplay after they released The Scientist.

That's a tough one. I know it was 'Rush of Blood to the Head' that got me hooked on them...just trying to remember what was the first song I heard off that album that made me say "wow!!" ...I feel it was either Politik or Clocks.

A Rush of Blood to the Head

I was scavanging through my dad's albums way back in 2001... I had to be, god, 7 or so. I discovered a strange looking CD with a funny picture of a spinning orange globe. Intrigued, I pushed the plain black disk eagerly, with sticky child fingers, into the cd player... and the rest, as they say, is history.

The upbeat tune of Don't Panic was what piqued my interest. Hearing that voice joyfully sing 'we live in a beautiful world!' when you're a curious and musically thirsty seven year old does wonders to you. I've been a fan ever since! ^^

awesome :nice:

Well, I hated them until the Viva la Vida era, so probably Viva la Vida or Violet Hill - the songs everyone know, ha.

i think it was high speed, but then when i heard more and more i really did like them! that was in 2001? 2002?:P

AROBTTH was the album that completely hooked me, though I'd heard Yellow and liked it. The song I first fell in love with...

In My Place

I heard yellow when i was like 10, but i really didnt care about music back then.

but, when the album X&Y came out i got hooked.

I became a major fan when i heard Swallowed in the Sea :D

Clocks in 2003.

I was 14 years old then. I heard it on the radio late at night -- I'd never been taken by music like that before. I loved the piano and Chris' distinct voice. I was singing it for a week straight... The Scientist and Yellow helped, too, because I survived off of those 3 songs for a month until I bought Rush of Blood that summer.

the first coldplay songs i heard were clocks and speed of sound, but i really became addicted to coldplay when they released Viva la Vida :wacky:

same :D

I think In My Place was the first song I've ever heard from them, I was 10 and AROBTTH had just came out, I was totally blown away and the whole album totally hooked me up, been a superfan ever since, and growing I've grown even more conscious. I was totally in love with AROBTTH and also Parachutes after that of course!! I remember listening to them all the time!! A Rush Of Blood To The Head has been always really special to me for this reason, also the track A Rush Of Blood To The Head was and is my fave/one of my faves. When X&Y came out I rushed to buy it because of course Coldplay were my favourite since 2002 and the I battled for months with my parents and I finally convinced them to send me to Bologna at my first concert ever!!.When VLV came out I ran to the store, bought it and was, once again, blown away!! I can't possibly express my love for Coldplay :wacky::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart:!!

I heard Don't Panic in 2006 and got hooked up.

It was awfully late, but surely worth it.

Goodness, that's a good story. I like it. Your dad has good music taste. My dad has never heard of Coldplay.

I liked Yellow, liked Clocks, but as soon as I heard The Scientist, I was hooked. That makes me... an 11 year old fan in 2002.

Yellow in 2000. The first time I heard it was just magical !
