In some of the previous eps featuring muscians they've shown film of the artists recording their parts as the credits roll (thinking of the N Sync episode and one of my all-time faves where Homer goes to Rock n Roll fantasy camp) Can't imagine they'l be doing that this time, it would just draw attention to the bad artwork

After looking at this, I'm convinced "Jonny" is the old Michael Stipe drawing with different, wrongly coloured eyebrows

They look like some dodgy characters on a rip off show of the simpsons.

Surely they would not let the animation standards slip that much.

Michael Jackson doesn't actually appear in "Stark Raving Dad," but Leon Kompowski, a man convinced he is the gloved one who Homer meets in an insane asylum, does a pretty fantastic Jacko impression.

 

Lisa takes refuge from the meat-eating world with guest stars Paul and Linda McCartney in the secret garden atop the Kwik-E-Mart in 1995's "Lisa the Vegetarian" episode.

If these are in any way official, then they are very early rough drafts from the drawing room. Promotional art for The Simpsons is far more detailed and vibrant (especially in recent years). The White Stripes, for example:
