August 30, 200916 yr Well lets all sell our possessions and live in cardboard shacks then! It's not solely the job of rich people to fix the worlds problems, we all have to do our bit. I'm quite sure that if most of the people on this board had Chris & Gwyneth's money they wouldn't give it all away. They might not choose to have such a big house, maybe they'd buy lots of sports cars or travel round the world, but I really can't see anyone around here choosing to live like a nun and give millions and millions to poor people. Everyone spends most of their money on themselves, why should celebrities be held to a higher standard - especially when someone like Chris does more for charity than the average person anyway.

September 21, 200916 yr my little brother's new friend used to live in London..and when my bro said he likes Coldplay, the kid said he lived down the street from Chris & even showed him on google earth...he said he saw him a lot, walking around and stuff....I'm kinda skeptical to believe this, but all the thins my brother told me seemed legit, since this kid is 10...

September 21, 200916 yr Yeah that's so stupid, they give way more money to charities than most of other bands, and I saw this house, it's not "that" huge for a celebrity house, without any privacy, just like all the other houses in the street ;)

September 21, 200916 yr I don't think the house looks that big. It's not pompous, it doesn't look like a mansion, it actually looks like a reasonably sized house. Technically, my small apartment has 9 rooms, not counting the corridor. So depending on how you count, you can get to 33 quite easily.

Have any of you actually been in a British house? The first time I was I couldn't get my mind around how an entire family fit in it. It was soooo tiny. And then I found out that they were actually quite wealthy and that their house was considered somewhat large for that city. It was only small in comparison with the plush suburban McMansions that are common in North America these days. I bet some of you self-righteous lot already live in a bigger house than they're building and don't even realize it. :P

After snapping up the property adjoining their London home, the couple are to create a £7million superhouse with 33 rooms. Work began last week with builders putting up scaffolding and removing windows. Martin, 32, bought the couple's current home for £2.5million from Kate Winslet in 2004.
