It's not his job to save the world all on his own, he already does more than a lot of people in his position. He's building a nice home for his family out of a house that was already there anyway- do you think the house had no tennants before, used no electricity or water? It's not like he's building from scratch on sacred land or turfing people out of a homeless shelter.

 

I'd rather he spends his money on property than drugs and the renovations are going to mean employing a lot of people, and the taxes are going to help a lot of people.

I get it's his and his wifes money, but if it really is 33 room rooms that's a little much, because there really isn't a need for that many rooms :\ But if it's 33 rooms including little things like foyers, bathrooms, etc. I don't see the problem.

The answer is (in my opinion) that rich/famous people need many bathrooms (= toilets) so that they are able to reach a toilet in time because they do not have to open so many doors (in the big house) to find a toilet - a toilet) :laugh3::D:lol:

 

And yes - they have the money to extend the house. Many of us have with our own eyes seen Chris earn his money by working really hard.

 

And some people have problems with celebrities doing a great job for Africa or humanitarian organisations and at the same time living in big houses and/or having several houses. To that I wanna say that, in order to be able to do so much good for the world (such as for instance Chris and Bono) and in order to be so energetic and active, they need to recharge batteries - and I think that a good place to live and some comfort can contribute to that.

It's a lot of rooms, that's for sure! but if most houses in that area are to go by, the 33 rooms would probably include hallways and bathrooms etc. Just sounds more crazy to write 33 - makes it sound like a castle! I can't help feeling like mabye they want that size of house so they can have everything they need behind private closed doors - the gym so gwyneth doesn't have to get papped everytime she goes there and back, the play stuff for the kids because it's hard to take them to public parks... They protect their privacy so strongly it makes me think they are building a place they can hide away. I hope that's not the case but with that much space why would they need to go anywhere else!!!!

it's their earned money so they can do what they want, but then when you think of dying children in africa and really unfortunate people like that, it's too bad that rich folks like chris and gwyneth and other celebs mostly end up spending money for themselves.
