whoa!? is this true?

in fact it is..

but the barcelona concert had some sound issues

Apparently it isn't happening...

why not?!!!! :( :(

Wow if this is true I'm going to be ecstatic! Because I was disappointed that they originally decided against making a concert DVD out of the Vancouver show, if they still are going to make a DVD after all that'd be sooooo greatt!!!!

I bet it was awesome. Still, they have lost their master feed. Unless the problem was coming out of the board and not going in.

For that reason alone, it could have nailed the show. Netherlands, has and will remain to be the best place to shoot the Stadium shows, or Wembley.

And, one more time, Toronto was not filmed. Vancouver. It was Vancouver.

Yeah I agree, the Netherlands seems to be the best place. I don't know about Wembly though.

Yeah, wasn't Toronto originally supposed to be filmed, but after the Saratoga Springs show was rescheduled the Toronto concert was brought down from 2 days to one, so they didn't film there?

I really hope that the dvd will be filmed in a stadium !

somebody needs to ask the oracle or anchorman!

EVIDENCE OF FILMING AT 0:34

That might make sense.

I really hope that the archived Vancouver shows see the light of day. Those two nights were beyond perfect! The second night being the loudest I've ever heard GM Place, over The Police reunion!

We'll see though, I have a feeling they may have to go with the Vancouver show and Release parts of the Spain show with a compilation of Greatest Hits, a la U218 with Milan.

To me that Arena shows are to great to over look. They spent almost two years in them, to over look it for one stadium leg, it isnt right!

Roadie sensibility sometimes approaches the superstitious - so much so that phrases such as "tempting fate" and "touch wood" are commonplace and spoken with completely straight faces. It should come as no surprise then, that the chance to test out the bold claim above, comes on a night with 64,000 punters and a bunch of cameras filming for an as yet unspecified project.

hmmm

I saw that too. Makes me sad that I dont get my Vancouver show...

Yeah it was. Been getting very mixed reviews. All the more reason to go with the rock solid Vancouver show.

I wish this is not just a thing journalist wrote to fill up the space in papers!

From the pictures of the signs outside of the Spain venue and out side of the Vancouver one, they look very different. In Vancouver they had the company name and everything.

Could be for archives as is stated. They could be waiting to see the results of Barcelona. Vancouver papers didn't catch wind of it until after he announced it on stage.

Barcelona, Paris and London are the biggest Coldplay shows ever now, so its deserve really great DVD! I think its total true

Hi everybody! This is my first post here =)

Sorry for writing in an old post

As I see, there are a lot of doubts about if coldplay will release a DVD of Viva la Vida Tour.

Yeah, the Spanish Newspapers didn't lie, coldplay filmed the show at barcelona. I'm spanish and I went to the gig. There were a lot of cameras, there was even a big crane with a camera.

I think they'll release the DVD after the south-america tour ends

Just beacause they film the gig doesn't mean it's for a DVD. However, I am positive there will be one.

I'm sure someone from their crew told some coldplayers that after the sound issues they scrapped the recording from Barcelona

We just have to wait and see, I want a DVD don't care where it was filmed :nice:

I agree!

Maybe they are thinking of recording one of the Latin America shows, especially since Viva La Vida was influenced so heavily by that region. Here's hoping, either way, they release one after the tour is finally over in March!
