Well you've already got 5 there, so that's all you need for your list to qualify. One great way to find new albums is to look at other peoples lists here and research the ones you aren't familiar with. I've been introduced to a lot of music I like that way.

Yes it is, and sometimes it's not even accurate. But it is a great resource for people who need a little chronological help.

Yeah, it seems like an era is sort of winding down after a peak around 2005-2007. There aren't so many new bands breaking through any more. But music always moves in cycles. Time will tell, I guess.

The xx are freakn amazing! theres a bit of radiohead in their sound as well as some interpol like vibe. but to my ears they're pretty damn unique. and well worth checking out.

If you do not accept Inshalla and Evermore I will stab you in the neck with a pair of scissors (especially for the Evermore one, because a song from it was released as a UK single in June). I was obsessed with the Evermore one for at least 3 months and Inshalla deserves a mention. These were the only 5 new albums I have heard this year (and even then I have not heard all of the Kasabian one). No monies, you see.

I'll put the finishing touches to it on deadline day, as The Gothenburg Address' debut album isn't out 'til Decemember. That's pretty much it for this year though.
