&& I agree with all of you, everyone wants some of Coldplay's fame. Coldplay worked to get where they are today, they didn't sue everybody who sounded like them. Thats what makes Coldplay so darn amazing :D

Coldplay's video is different and guess what their song AND video are better. The only reason this random video is getting publicity around now is because none of us have EVER heard of it and we like to be educated, so then we can with proper knowledge say these claims are crap.

 

There's a person in that video and in coldplay's too so coldplay must have copied that aspect too. *rolls eyes*

Okay so I just watched Something Else on Youtube and the only real similarities I saw were that both videos involved some stop motion and chalk. Go check it out for yourself.

Wow.... pretty soon people will sue Coldplay because the have the same middle name as Chris.

Chris is a super hero in a fantasy world in his video, and this Gallagher guy is beating instruments made of chalk outlines.

 

Where are the similarities? And where does "copyright" come in? Did he copyright the use of colored chalk as backgrounds? Heck, I've seen insurance commercials and car advertisements where they use that pseudo-chalk "scenery change" motion. And those have been on television for decades.

 

This Gallagher guy is trying to sell records, that's all. I personally think his voice stinks and his video is crap.
