June 26, 200718 yr More info on Richard Ashcroft's forum here: http://forums.richardashcroft.com/viewtopic.php?t=3148 From that forum topic it looks pretty conclusive - real music is making a comeback...
June 26, 200718 yr I don't think it's a case of needing to pay bills, all 5 have been working most of the time since 1997. One of the biggest U-Turns ever, as Richard was adamant that they'd probably never get back together, crikey!!! Wonder what songs will be on the tour then, new stuff, or all the classics just to help raise awareness?
June 26, 200718 yr NICK MCCABE JUST CONFIRMED IT ON HIS MYSPACE SITE!!!!!!! I CANT BELIEVE IT!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
June 26, 200718 yr This is great news, and was a logical thing to happen, as Richard Ashcroft has never quite managed to recapture the Verve magic via his solo work. Let's hope something great comes out of it.;) Who knows? Maybe The Verve to headline at Glasto next year? That really would be something!
June 26, 200718 yr That would be even better choice than Coldplay or Radiohead Nothing will ever be a better choice than Coldplay.:smug:
June 26, 200718 yr :shocked2: !!! WOW. I nearly had a heart attack when I saw this. Of all the reunion fever right now, this is by far the best imho. Richard Ashcroft has one of my favorite voices- so earthy and raw- but his solo stuff kind of sucks a bit. *picks self up off the floor, does a happy dance*
June 26, 200718 yr His solo stuff is pretty good, I suggest you listen to keys to the world again and while your at stick alone with everybody in there too. Great news though
June 26, 200718 yr His solo stuff is pretty good, I suggest you listen to keys to the world again and while your at stick alone with everybody in there too. Great news though It doesn't suck, but I'm afraid his solo stuff pales in comparison to The Verve's. When Dickie performs live, it's always The Verve songs that get the biggest cheer. They have far more impact.

They have far more impact. I prefer Keys to the world over Urban Hymns. I think Urban Hymns has far too many fillers on it. Yeah I'll agree with you on the Verve songs getting the better reaction. I still have to listen to Northern Storm :embarassed:
June 26, 200718 yr Would love to see The Verve, Radiohead and Coldplay next year at glastonbury!
