I think you're right there about album of the year (surely it has to go to one of them??) but I can see Boy and Bear smashing Gypsy and the Cat for the unearthed award... they've gotten a lot more recognition throughout the year than G&tC.

I have Boy and Bears EP. I listened to it once but it didn't really grab me so I should probably try it again. As for concerts, I'm going to my one second ever: MUSE on the 10th at the Acer. I have gold seating and from what I've seen on the arena map, they are straight in front so it should be epic. Can't wait.

personally i think Bryce should have the honour of presenting this award to the rest of the forum. as im pretty sure he is the one who came up with the idea, i hope im right about that haha.

 

im very happy we reached a conclusion before the J award was handed out. i just didnt want that to effect our opinions at all.

 

december is upon us!! one of the biggest months of concerts this country has seen since november 06. i wonder if we'll see any surprise collaborations during the month.

Coldplay. Acer Arena, 14th March, 2009. It was the one after they played at Sound Relief and they had Shane Warne guesting. Twas amazing.

im going on the first u2 night in sydney and im hoping to work at the stadium on the second. i was a little late to apply but i might get lucky.

 

in all honesty im not THAT excited about muse. mainly because ive gone from being able to tolerate their latest album when i first saw them in january now i cant stand any of it. apparently they only play for 90mins which is quite disappointing for a band with 5 albums. i hope to be surprised.

Yeah having seen Muse before I am excited more for U2, Gorillaz and Jack Johnson. But they'll still bring an awesome arena show, nonetheless. And they're the most expensive show out of the 5 am going to so Muse better play the longest!!

I don't really like the Resistance much now either but I've been hearing rumors that they have been playing a few rarities from their older stuff so we could be in for a treat. The set should really be going for 2 hours. As long as I get to hear citizen erased I'll be happy.

Yeah, I'm actually probably least excited about Muse out of the 3 I'm going to, because I saw them at the start of the year... but I am very curious to see the whole tower-setup thing!

Haha, I've been keeping an eye on the .mu forum and some people are getting really worked up over the possibility that Australians might be getting "special treatment" by getting a few rarities :rolleyes:
