December 16, 200916 yr That tent looks like a marquee for a wedding or something! awesome. I did think it was going to be a bit more outside, with the stage undercover. In this cold weather though probably better there's a bit of shelter!

December 17, 200916 yr Is there anyone who knows if the e-ticket we have printed are the ticket with which we will enter the concert or if they are ticket to exchange at the box office? i think the e tickets will be final tickets, cause there are barcodes on them so i think there won't be need to change it. I hope so, i don't wanna queue twice. :D

December 17, 200916 yr Exeter Coldplay concert work starts Guy Wadsworth, inset, in one of the rooms the band will use to prepare for its homecoming gig CONSTRUCTION work at Exeter Castle has nearly been completed in preparation for the much-anticipated Coldplay gig. There are now just two days until the stripped-back performance. The marquee is up, the stage is being built and everything is going to plan, according to Guy Wadsworth of Exeter Castle Partnership, which owns the site. During the concert, flats on the site will be used as dressing rooms for Coldplay and support acts Lily Allen and La Roux. Mr Wadsworth said: “The preparations are all being finalised down here. It is all happening and there have been no hitches. Everything will be ready in time. We are all really looking forward to the concert.” Fans are still able to bid for one of five pairs of tickets in an auction at http://hmv.seatwave.com/mencap-coldplay-auction. This will run until tomorrow and the winner of the Echo’s competition for tickets will also be contacted tomorrow. However, Mencap is warning people who are purchasing tickets on eBay that they might not be guaranteed entry, and is looking into the situation. More than five per cent of the 500 tickets sold have appeared on eBay but sellers are running into problems. The mystery bidder who took the auction of the first pair of tickets to more than £1,000 on Tuesday has refused to pay prompting the tickets to be re-auctioned. The anonymous seller said: “Because of idiots this item has had to be re-listed. The top bidder has decided not to pay so we will have to do a 24-hour auction. A percentage of the sale will go to Mencap.” Others were sold yesterday for between £375 and £800 for a pair — still several times the £50 face value of a ticket. A Mencap spokesman said: “The event is raising much-needed funds for the learning disability charity. I'm going to see Coldplay, with just FIVE HUNDRED other people in a Christmas Marquee in Devon. If you'd told me this a week ago, I'd never believed it. Period. :lol: I hope (if there is) snow that it won't get in the way of anyone travelling... it only takes a centimetre of snow to grind everything to a hault here. :rolleyes: Hoping the roads won't be too clogged or delayed... at least I've got the whole day clear to get down, we will be leaving as early as poss so we can get something to eat beforehand and get there with lots of time. I can't imagine there being a queue outside before 6 if these temperatures stay till Sat... it's literally freezing here! Does anyone know for certain if we will be seated or standing? I'm assuming it will just be a stand up concert which means I'm going to be struggling to see the stage as usual... I should take a box to stand on. :laugh3: Unless I can get right to the front, although I'm not sure that would be possible. Oh, to be at the front. :awesome:

December 17, 200916 yr I'm sitting here listening to ROBTTH album and thinking about Saturday...then I sat up and thought OMG it's SATURDAY... I've been excited today but bloody hell, I'm seeing Coldplay this Saturday, it's crazy to think that I was almost in tears the night when they were playing at Hampden in Glasgow this September, I'd had to give up my ticket and I was absolutely gutted that I couldn't go!! Now Im seeing them in a marquee, tiny audience and it's gonna be amazing!! Safe trips to everyone travelling tomorrow :D Chris (that's Jayzo I mean, not THE Chris obv :laugh3:), give me a text when you get to Exeter just incase I'm in town ;)
